Chapter 7 - Dinner

I was snapped out of my thoughts by a knock on the door. "M'lady, Dark sent me to get you ready for dinner," she said through the door. "Alright. You may come in," I replied with a sigh. She opened the door and walked in, shutting it behind her. She was holding a dress in her arms and laid it out on the vanity. "Master Dark wants you to wear this," she said, bowing her head and folding her hands infront of her. "Thank you," I said as I walked out of the bathroom.

I put on my undergarments and sat down in the vanity seat. She towel dried my hair and put it in a tight bun. She started putting makeup on my face. It was beautiful. I sat in awe after she was done. "M'lady, please put this on," she asked as she handed the dress to me. It was (f/c) and had a (f/d/d) [favorite design of dress]. I stood up and grabbed it. "Thank you miss...uh..what's your name?" I trailed off waiting for an answer. "My name is Serenity M'lady," she said bowing. "Please just call me Calia. I don't really like all this change. I'd rather just...just live a normal life again! You know, with freedom to do whatever I want, to have friends..." I trailed off, tears welling in my eyes. "To see my family again..." I started to cry.

Serenity looked around nervously. "Um...M'la- I mean, Calia, if it would make you feel better...I could be your friend...if that would make you happy..." I looked up at her. "R-really?" I sniffled. "Of course!" She said with a smile on her face. "Th-thank you!" I hugged her and she hugged back.

"Now, let's get you into that dress!" She announced. I nodded and put it on, along with the matching shoes. We talked about a lot of things. Like what our lives were like, how we both got here, our childhoods. I even told her about the baby. She was as suprised as I was when I found out.

"You know you're the first girl I've actually been able to have a decent conversation with," I complemented. "Thanks. I've been so busy with work that I haven't been able to talk much and let my feelings out..." she looked down in sadness. "I guess it's back to cleaning tomorrow," she sighed. "Oh! I know! I can ask Dark for you to be my personal maid! That way we can spend more time together and you won't have to work so hard!" I said jumping up from the bed we were sitting on. "Could you?! That would be a dream come true!" "I'll ask him tonight at dinner." "Oh thank you miss! Thank you!" She said hugging me. I hugged back and let go after the grandfather clock struck 6. Dinner was to be served at 6:15. "Well I guess it's time to go to dinner. I'll see you later right?" "Hopefully miss! Good bye!" "Bye!" I waved and headed towards the dining room.
I got there and sat down in the seat across from Dark. "I believe we have something to discuss?" He asked. I gulped and took a deep breath. "Yes, I believe so," I said with my head held high. 'It's now or never...'
