Chapter 1 - The Woods

*Calia's POV*

Safire and I were walking through the forest. I looked up at the sky. The moon was full tonight, and shining its beautiful esence. But its interupted by Safire's growling. She was growling into the deeper parts of the woods. I walk closer to her and bend down to her level. "What is it girl?" That's when I hear a horrifying laugh. I looked to the direction of the sound. "Who's there?" I ask standing up.

"I'm surprised you don't know who I am," the figure said emerging from the shadows. He was wearing a black tunic, black boots, a leather belt that held his sword and shield, and a black hat. He moved into the moonlight and I was shocked. He had pitch black hair, pale skin, and blood red eyes. I took a step back, and he smirked, revealing fangs. "The name's Dark Link," he said walking closer to me.

"W-what do you want?" I asked. I backed up, until my back met a tree. He walked closer to me and disappeared. Only to reappear in front of me. I closed my eyes and he cupped my cheek in his hand. "Now, now babe. No need to be frightened. I just wanted to take what's rightfully mine." I slowly opened my eyes, afraid of what he might do to me. A devious smirk crossed his face.

"What would that be?" I asked eyeing him suspiciously. He let out a dark chuckle and leaned in to where he was right next to my ear. His hot breath tickling the inside of my ear. "Why my dear, that would be you." Before I could comprehend what he said, he leaned down to my neck, finding my sweetspot. He began to suck on it, and I bit my lip not allowing a moan to escape my mouth. Once he had it tender enough, he bit down hard. I whimpered and I could feel him smirk against my skin. I could feel a warm substance on my skin. It was my blood. He began to lick the wound, almost apologetically. When he was finished, he moved to my ear again.

"I have left my mark. You now belong to me." He chuckled and backed away. I let a few stray tears fall, and he gripped my face in his hands and wiped away the tears. "No need to cry my dear. Everything's going to be alright. You're coming with me." He chuckled, and was met with a growl. I looked in the direction of the growl, only to see my pet wolf, Safire. He stood up and moved towards her, pulling out his sword.

"No! Please don't hurt her!" I yelled, getting up and running to her, only to be stopped by vine-like shadows gripping my ankles. He looked at me, smirking. Something I wanted to slap off. He narrowed his eyes and sheathed his sword, turning back his head to face Safire. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to deal with you later, wolfie." He disappeared from my sights. I stepped away from the tree and moved towards Safire, only to have hands grab me by my waist and pull me back. I was hoisted over his shoulder and in an instant, all I saw was black smoke and I blacked out.
