Pamilya.
I looked up and whispered at the stars, knowing that my lola and lolo will hear me thanking them from below.
People who were mean to me seemed to be a little bit kinder.
I sat inside Lai's office, he offered to help me with what I am currently dealing right now. I still can't gather my shits together dahil next month na ang simula namin sa pagpasok sa paaralan dahil aasikasuhin na namin ang enrollment ng mga bata.
"Stated here, passed down unto you are the following: Torre Bay, Bar and Drinks, Tierra del Verde Rice Mill, Centennial Park," Nato said while enumerating the assets that lola has passed to me. Nagtuloy-tuloy pa iyon hanggang sa umabot sa "with a net worth over 2 billion." Pagtatapos niya.
"Ha?"
"Can I curse?" He laughed before nodding slightly.
"Tangina."
I still can't believe this is all true.
I want to ask for help but at the same time ayaw ko dahil alam kong kaya ko naman itong pag-aralan at alam kong marami rin siyang gawa so maybe he can't handle another thing on his plate.
"Do you want me to help you?" He offered. I nodded.
"If it's not too much." Nahihiyang sabi ko sa kanya.
"Of course it's not too much, Sol." He said before standing up and sitting in front of me. He held my hand and looked at me in the eyes.
"I'd do anything to help you reach further steps in life, love."
Ano ba talaga kami?
I stilled on what he said and smiled awkwardly before I pull my hands away from his. I can still feel the warmth of his hands on mine, it feels comforting and assuring.
"We can start with the basics and the bottom."
We started lessons just yesterday and so far, I've gotten the hang of it.
He was first reluctant about the idea but eventually let me na lang since he wants me to learn from professionals, his word not mine.
A month has passed. I resigned from my teaching position kasi hindi ko na alam kung papaano ito ijajuggle pa. Ngayon ay nasa opisina ako dito sa Tierra del Verde, ngayon ang official introduction ko sa Board of Members as their new CEO since I underwent trainings muna.
