"Slow down Mk!" Monkey King exclaimed, noticing how Mk was beating him in the game they turned on. Macaque was already passed put and leaning on the both of them. Basically, it was almost a pile of cuddle monkies.

"Mk!" Monkey King punched his student on the arm, "What was that for?!" Mk exclaimed, rubbing his arm and hiding the fact that his wound was bleeding out like crazy, but the meds he had taken subsided the pain. "For beating me in one of my own games!" Monkey King pouted, his tail flicking in the air.

Mk giggled, it was funny to him. Okay?

"What are you laughing at?!" A small groan was heard from Macaque, then an arm from the darker coloured monkey wrapped around Mk uselessly, making the darker monkey shift over to Mk to lay ontop of him.

Mk smiled softly, it was peaceful like this. 'Is this what an actual family is like?' Mk wondered, realization striking him in the heart. "You okay, bud?" Monkey King asked, placing his hand onto Mk's shoulder. Mk winced and jolted, being brought out of his train of thought. 'My meds must be running out..' He thought, ignoring the growing pain.

"Yeah, I'm alright, just... I've never felt umh, well.. Uh.." Mk stuttered, how could he just come out and say that he felt as though this was his own family? Monkey King worriedly watched his student, hoping he didn't do anything wrong. "You guys just feel.... more like parents than my actual 'parents' do.." Mk said, looking down sadly.

Monkey King looked at Mk in surprise, just how much trauma has this kid been through? It didn't matter now, Monkey King was going to do something about this.

"Ah, I see, well. If it makes you feel any better.. I kinda see you as a son.. more than just a student." Monkey King sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, smiling softly. Mk's eyes widened, and a wide smile spread along his face as he looked at Monkey King. "Really?!" Mk exclaimed, trying not to move as much noting that the darker monkey might wake up.

Mk tried to hold back the oncoming tears, these are the words he's been waiting to hear since he was sent to that damn orphanage. It wasn't because Mk's parents couldn't care for him, it's because they didn't want him, so they left him in the hands of something much worse.

Another groan made itself audible behind the young monkey, "I think you should be heading to bed, buddy." Macaque said, ruffling Mk's hair and yawning. Leaning back onto Monkey King, and his tail ushering Mk to get up. "Aw, alright Macaque." Mk said, walking into his bathroom.

Going to the bathroom and replacing his bandages, Mk took a quick glance at himself in his mirror. His eyes saddened as he went to get more meds to keep the pain away. The longer he pulls this off, the less amount of time he'll have until it's fully healed.

Taking his bandanna off, Mk let his hair fall infront of his face. Brushing it out before going back into his room, he swung his jacket into a hamper that was in the corner. He'd wash it in the morning.

Walking out of the bathroom, Mk saw that the older monkies had already nodded off. Smiling softly, Mk crawled onto his bed and tried to move them carefully. Monkey King stirred awake and helped Mk to move Macaque under the blanket. "Night bud, try to get some sleep alright?" He said, laying down next to Macaque.

Mk nodded, turning off the lights and laying down along with the two and turning his back to them.

---

Laying helplessly and his eyes squinting, Mk tried to silently sit up, but failing. The older monkies had somehow pulled Mk in between the both of them and were holding him down by hugging him. Sighing, Mk carefully shrunk himself and hopped down from his bed.

Quietly turning himself back, Mk crept over to his window. He might as well take a little fly since he can't sleep.

Mk shifted into a bird and quietly leapt out his window, flying into the night sky. It was peaceful, it felt nice to Mk, judging by the recent events that had just taken place. He could actually breathe without having to keep an eye on every corner.
