Jar Of Cookies

When I gave you my jar of cookies,
You became too greedy.
Now my heart is all empty,
Just like the jar, you returned to me.

Water dripped down my cheeks,
As I knew this was goodbye.
I said "You can keep the jar,
To remember who we were."

I reached home tired and lost,
But lit up a fire to forge a new jar,
And struggled through the night,
Determined to get it right.

Coz when I gave you my jar of cookies,
You became too greedy,
And my heart was once empty,
But I learnt how to make myself happy.
