Fewer desecration advisedStatues. Cold to the touch. Harder than rock. They don't try kill you. Yet thier endless stare of fear. Haunts me to the core. But it is my only company. They don't speak, they don't breathe, they just stand there frozen in time. Punish by the gods. Dragged in Athena's temple by Poseidon. Those words haunts my mind. I fell towards his lies. Devoured by my naive natural. "Athena wants to meet you. Athena is waiting for us." I should of known by his voice, by his eyes, and even his grip on my arm. Yet I still followed. I remember him holding door. As I walked in. I saw bed. As I turned to ask were Athena was. I saw him locked the door. Dropped his clothes. As I tried to escape. He threw me on his bed and ripped my clothes off. After he finished and fell asleep. O managed to find a old white dress. I put on. Not caring how it draped off my shoulder. As I ran trying find a way out. I saw Athena. I ran towards her. She must of saw my tears. "What happened?"asked Athena. "Poseidon he.. He," I was chocking on my words. Maybe even my tears. "It's alright tell me what he did,"asked Athena. "Rape." I mange to choke out my words. Through my tears. "Got what you deserve,"said Athena. I was shocked. Not of what she just said But her tone. She was pissed. Why? How could she not care? "You don't deserve a damn thing,"said Athena. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. As I looked up I saw her reaching for a book. The goddess of beauty cares for her self. Even the land said I was more beautiful than her. Now I know it wasn't just looks but the inside. I would never say things she said. How she yelled and went on. Blaming me. She said somethings I never wish to remember. But that book cursed me. She took my hair and replace snakes. She made sure no one could ever look me in the eyes. If I did. They would turned to stone. I remember running away. Screaming in pain. As snakes formed on my head falling near a river. Blacking out. As I awakened I looked in the river. To see black snakes all over my head. My once black public is now slits. Almost like a cat. I saw someone walking towards me. As I stood up to ask for help he turned to stone. That was person that turned to stone. I hid in a cave. While the locals that once were my friends. We're my enemy's now. They kept trying to kill me. Only for me to turn them into stone. It took me awhile to get used to the silence or the snakes moving. I walked around in my torn dress. I would leave cave at night to watch the stars. I would wake up from the sun. The cave had light bouncing off the walls from the sun. It was dark in some areas but I could see fine. Maybe because snake eyes, or I could of gotten used to it.
One day a young lady entered the cave. You could tell she was blind. The giant scar across her eyes. I spent the days talking to her. Answering her questions. I slowly fell in love. But I knew I couldn't love her. After all Athena made me immortal. She would die at a certain time and I. I would still be alive. But slowly reason left me. She even lived with me. We both took care of each other. But one day. She became ill. I ran to gather herbs. I tried everything to help her. But at the end it didn't work. I rocked her in my arms. Keeping her close as she died. As I felt her last breathe. All I could do was cry. As I berried her in field. All the flowers she talked talked about. Made me miss her even more. Her soft hands, her light kisses. I left after putting a grave marker on. I didn't care of the sun raise or the locals watching me. Or even the person that entered my cave. I was done. I was ready to die. I heard him walk behind me. I heard the snakes hissing. I waited for the blade. I wanted to join her on the other side.
I can't wait to dance with you in the afterlife.
