Part 8

~Belle's POV~

Everything was so perfect.

I heard George clear his throat.

"As I've been trying to tell you for the past three days" he says to me.

"I'm going to Florida" he speaks, avoiding eye contact with anyone.

"What? When are you leaving?" I was astonished.

"Tomorrow. Here's the thing"

"There's more?" My voice quivered. I don't know what I'll do alone in the house.

"I'll be gone for 5 months"

That was it. The tears rolled down my face. I don't know why I was crying. I don't know why I didn't let him tell me earlier. But 5 months? So much could go wrong.

"So let me get this straight. You're leaving for 5 months to go over seas. And you're going to leave me alone in this house." I tried to get the story straight. It felt unreal.

"Yes..." he spoke slowly.

"I'm sorry. Dream and Sapnap want to do a meet up and it'd just be easier if I stayed for longer." He said, annoyed for some reason.

"It's fine. I'm going for a walk." I stand up, letting go of Niki's hand.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Niki asks, standing up.

"No I'd rather be alone."

I was being childish. I was being stupid. I'm over reacting.

I walked out the front door and didn't bother putting music on. I walked in silence. The sun was setting so I went to the beach.

"Belle?" I heard a familiar voice say.

I turn to see Gianna, holding hands with a man.

"Hey Gianna" I say, walking up to her.

"You seem off. What's wrong." She asked, clearly only half sincere.

"Well George is leaving to go to Florida for 5 months tomorrow and I'm only hearing about it now." I sigh.

"Oh I'm sorry. You're always welcome at my house" she smiled.

"Oh thank you! I'll think about it." I smile.

I thought about it. Gianna's a great friend. It won't hurt staying for at least a few days.

"Right! Belle I'd like you to meet my boyfriend Jay." She smiled at him.

"Nice to meet you" I say, nodding my head towards him.

"You as well" he smirked and winked.

That was creepy.

I shook it off and the three of us walked and talked until it was dark out.

"See you tomorrow?" Gianna asked when we got outside my house.

"Tomorrow" I say before walking up the driveway.

"Bye!" I yell at the couple walking down the street. I see Jay turn around slightly and wink at me again.

I walk through the door to see George bringing his bags down the stairs.

I go upstairs and pack a bag. Gianna and I decided I'd stay there for a week but then was welcome to come back whenever.

I heard a knock on my bedroom door.

"Come in" I say, stuffing a charger into my bag.

"What's the bag for." I hear George say as he sits down on my bed.

"I'm staying at Gianna's for a bit while you're gone."

I see him frown. He never liked Gianna. He said he had a list of proof she was fake. Something about how she's always too nice yet never seems sincere. I never listened, she was nice... sometimes.

Sure she called me an attention whore, but she's letting me stay with her. Which is an improvement since the third grade when I asked to sleepover and she threw an egg at me.

"Ok. Just came in here to let you know my flights at 5 in the morning so if you don't see me when you wake up, I'm at the airport." He smiled slightly, looking at me.

I hugged him and cried.

"I'll miss you so much" I whispered, gripping onto him.

"I'll miss you too. But it'll be ok. You have Niki, Rebecca and Will right down the road, we can call, every night if you want" he sniffled as he held me closer.

"What if something goes wrong. And time zones, how will I contact you if it's like 2 am there."

"Fuck time zones. I'll answer whenever" he said pulling away from the hug, still holding my shoulders.

"Promise?" I hold up my pinky.

"We're not in elementary school." He laughs

"Do you promise or not." I glare at him.

He intertwines his finger in mine.

"I promise"

"Good" I smile.

We hug again before I went back to packing a bag.

I threw the backpack on the floor and climbed in bed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
