Part 14

~Niki's POV~

I sat down on the couch and listened to Belle tell me about her wedding crashing story.

I loved listening to her go on her little rants. She was so happy.

"Niki?" she asks, snapping me out of my trance.

"Hm?"

"When are we going on that date" she looks at me

"Whenever you want"

She glances at her watch.

"Right now?"

I glance at my phone.

"Sure"

She stands up and walks into Becca's room. I hear them talking before Becca leaves the room and closes the door behind her.

"She's robbing me of my fancy clothing" she chuckles, grabbing a glass of water.

I smile and walk to my room, changing into a nice dress.

The dress in question:

I fix my hair and walk out into the living room to see Belle in an emerald green dress.

I smile at her and she waves goodbye to Becca. I do the same and we go into the car.

I hand her the aux and she starts playing Lovejoy. Sex Sells to be exact.

We belted out the lyrics before I pulled into a nice restaurant.

"All this for me?" she fake gasped, putting her hand over her heart.

"Only the best" I smile and get out of the car.

We walk into the restaurant and we get a table.

I scan over the menu and frown. It's one of those fancy-small- portions- that -cost-a-million- dollars restaurants.

Belle frowns at me and she looks like she's thinking.

"Wanna just get McDonalds?" she smiles

"That sounds great"

I leave a twenty dollar bill on the table and write "sorry" on a napkin before leaving with Belle.

I drive to the closest McDonald's and we go in to order.

"Hi, a six piece chicken nugget, a soda and a vanilla ice cream" Belle smiles

"Ice cream machines broken" the cashier deadpans, adding the chicken nuggets to our order.

"Bullshit. I'll go back there right now and-"

I grab her arm to stop her.

"We'll get ice cream after" I smile.

She smiles at me and glares at the cashier.

"Just a cheeseburger and fries for me" I smile.

I pay for the food and we get a booth. Our order is finished soon after so we go get our food.

We eat and talk about random stuff, loudly, drawing attention to everyone that passed by.

"Y'know geese?" she says, taking a sip of her soda.

"Yeah?"

"They're free. You can just take one" she shrugs.

"Where do you find this information" I chuckle

"Tiktok, twitter, instagram, reddit. Ya know, the internet"

"You're an interesting person"

"Why thank you" she smiles, throwing the container to her chicken nuggets away.

I finish my burger and threw out my trash before Belle dragged me outside.

"You promised ice cream"

"Well I didn't promise" I chuckle, starting the car.

I drove to the nearest drugstore and we got our ice cream.

Belle got a little container of chocolate ice cream and I got a little container of cookie dough ice cream.

I paid for the ice cream and we went back to the car.

"Are we still going to the beach?" I ask, opening my ice cream.

"We're still in our dresses" she laughs slightly

"So?"

"Yeah. Let's go to the beach" she took a spoon and ate her ice cream.

The drive was short but eventful. Belle dropped her ice cream on her dress, her spoon broke, we almost hit a bird, and she put ice cream on my face.

We got to the beach and the first thing she did was drag me into the water. She tripped on something and fell in, pulling me with her.

When we stood up, we were soaked.

"Hey! I don't have ice cream on my dress anymore" she smiled, pointing at her dress.

People were staring as we pushes each other in, hysterically laughing.

(fun fact: i saw a furry go into the ocean at a beach in california once)

She pushed me under and then pulled me back up after a few seconds.

She draped her arms around my neck and I draped mine around her waist. She smiled sweetly at me and I smiled back. We stayed like this for a few moments before she kissed me. I kissed back, smiling into it.

When we separated, she smiled.

"I love you Niki"

"I love you too Belle" I blush and kiss her again.
