Don't you miss it? The summer breeze on your bare skin? The sound of the flowing river? Now you're just trapped here, like a rat in a cage. How sad

A familiar voice taunted, His voice dangling on the edge of my patience. You'd think that my conscience would be a little more insightful but yet it lets me down every time. I had a hard time controlling it and that's why I was in here, that and my abundant use of drugs but that was a whole other problem. The floorboards creaked as I shuffled around the tiny square they called a 'room', Through the paper thin walls the sound of clinking metal hit the wooden floors. Chains. A bulky sounding man, probably a nurse, spoke up, His voice as rough as he probably looked.

" This is your room Mr. Hemmings. Dr. Kravits will join you in a moment. Don't worry son, We'll take real good care of you here." That was a blatant lie.

A smirk etched across my face, Fresh meat.

And he was a Hemmings? How intriguing.
