I texted Taehyung as I walked home, he was in science but apparently had no care for whatever he was supposed to be learning about.

Y/N: a week suspension for trying to stop the fight. I'm determined the principle has a problem with me and I don't know why.
Tae: that's so stupid, I can't believe he'd do that to you, and to me?! Who am I supposed to hang out with for the whole week.
Y/N: I'm sorry Tae, it feels like we've hardly hung out recently and that's kinda my fault...
Tae: I don't blame you for not hanging out, you've been so busy, but after this week you better hang out with me everyday to make up for it or else!

I laughed, not believing that I had a friend as good as he was, it almost brought me to tears as I unlocked the front door to my house.

I walked inside and it was eerily quiet, a panic began to set inside of me, my legs began to shake as I tiptoed into the kitchen, finding a note on the table, I picked it up with a trembling hand.

'We've gone on a trip across the country, should be back in around a month or two, the hot waters gone off since we can't afford to pay for it but cold water is fine!
p.s we got the phone call from the school about your suspension, you're grounded for the week.'

I pulled out a chair and slumped into it, grounded for a week? How would they even know if I was home or not? Anger replaced the growing anxiety I was feeling, I shoved the note in the bin, pulling at the neck of my shirt to get rid of the strangling feeling that had suddenly come on, but somehow it didn't go.

"How can you afford to go for a trip across the country and not hot water." I shouted to the empty house, walking up the stairs to my room. I opened my laptop and began emailing my teachers, asking them to send me the work for the week so that I could complete it, I'd come back to the laptop later seeing as there's no way any teachers would respond now.

I paced in my room before slumping back down the stairs, opening the fridge and finding only emptiness. I slammed it shut angrily, it made a loud bang, I sighed and leaned my head against it, taking in a shaky breath as memories from last time this happened flooded me entirely, I knew nothing bad had happened to them this time, but the feeling they would never come back was still the same. Sure they didn't care about me that much, but they were my parents and I needed them to be here.

Tears fell down my eyes as I wandered into the living room, seeing a beer bottle, it was barely even started and I knew it was my dads. Left in a hurry huh... I took a sip, my nose scrunching with the taste, how he liked the thing I didn't know but, I finished it for him. I was walking to put the bottle in the bin as I heard a knock on the door, I opened it and saw Jungkook on the other side, I looked into my messy house and stepped out rather than having him step into it and judge me and my family.

"My mum says you can stay with us" he smiled until he spotted the bottle in my hand, he grabbed it quickly and turned to look over his shoulder, "do not let my mum see this, she won't let you in" he laughed a little bit was being deadly serious. I nodded and took it back, hiding it and placing it in the recycling, "are you sure I won't be intruding? Really I can stay at mine!" I assured him but in reality I'd love to get as far away from my house as possible, it made me feel as empty as the fridge.
