until i found her

a/n:this chapter is gonna be set in the present day so 2022 :)

Emily pov:

I was just chilling in my apartment watching Netflix with my sister Lavinia as she was staying at my place for a few days before she travels off from New York to London for a few months.

"I can't believe my little sister is travelling alone for the first time" I said with a teasing smile on my face whilst giving her a side hug.

Lavinia scoffed before responding,"Em I'm only gone for a few months I'll be fine" she replied giving me a smile.

I returned the smile,before reaching out for my phone which was on the side table next to the couch me and Lavinia was sat on.

I scrolled through Instagram for a little while before realising I had to go to work and I was almost late,luckily I was already dressed and the coffee shop where I work at was not far from my apartment so I wasn't stressed.

A few minutes later,I arrived at the coffee shop to begin my shift and I was greeted by my friend Rosa who also works there.

Not gonna lie,working at a coffee shop is so exhausting mostly because I'm on my feet all day and taking people's orders 24/7.I just want to be at home chilling with a cup of coffee or tea watching Netflix.

But then a few hours later,my day just got better.

This really pretty girl walked in and oh my god i swear that she is the cause of my gay panic.

She walked up to the counter to place her order.

"Um can I have a caramel iced latte please?" the girl asked.

"Yeah of course coming right up,by the way I love your jacket it looks really nice" I said.

The girl smiled and said,"thank you I like your hair".

As I was making her caramel iced latte I couldn't help but let out a small squeal because  it made me smile that such a pretty girl complimented me and that reminded me of something I didn't ask her name.

As I gave her her iced latte,I asked her if she wanted to be friends and I found out name it's Sue and we both gave each other our numbers and we just chatted for a while before she had to leave for work and I also had to get back to work.
