Y/N is a busy graduating future educator student with a part time job as a barista in a small cafe in the big city near her school who never had a time for herself, living only with herself in a small apartment in the city.

Even if it pains her to be far away from her family, she still did it to study in a well known university and to study a profession that she really doesn't want to take, but because of her mother's wish, she sacrificed her dream of being a musician to be a professional instructor.

Before she took a flight to go to college and begin her life there, she used to have so many beautiful dreams every time she fell asleep.
Dreams such as performing in her own concert where the special guests were her idols, singing in a full crowd of people, or meeting the personalities that she admires.

Other people even gave her the moniker "lucky" for having such dreams every single night for it never skips a leg day. Those dreams took her away from the sadness life has brought her and took her away to a world she calls "Utopia" where all of her hopes and aspirations came to life, but nothing lasts forever.
Her dreams stopped eventually. Her utopia, once brimming with warmth and joy, became a dome of complete darkness, empty, and cold.

"What's the point of dreaming if I have to face reality? "

She told herself once it all began
Ever since the reader got busy between her studies and her job, she never had time to make friends, a long term one to be exact. She may have acquaintances, yes but, they're all temporary and eventually they all got fed up on her.

She never even took a glance at her musical instruments too and sold them out to have additional money to pay her fees and to send it to her family who relies on her.
Technically, she let go of her passion, of her dream, her very ambition.

She felt like it's all too late for her and completely surrendered to the fact that she'll be like this forever, regardless if she wanted to complain or whatsoever, she knows she just needs to be practical and with that the sparks of her passion in music fades away, she never played for years, and neither in her dreams.

One night after a terrible day where her boss scolded her for her klutziness in doing her task at work plus she had a mid low score in her recent calculus test which she studied hard for she felt heavy and tired knowing that sleep can be her only saving grace
"Well that could've been worse "

She said lazily, walking straight ahead towards her bedroom, not even bothering to remove her shoes as she fell on her bed, wanting to sleep more than ever.

She felt like she had never slept in ages. Deep inside she felt like she didn't deserve it plus she is well aware how she wouldn't be able to go fast asleep as usual, however, tonight felt different.

She's so sleepy that she failed to notice how her eyes were already closed, even starting to release a faint snores.

"At last, I can now finally fall asleep in peace."
She spoke in her mind as she began to doze off more.
With that, Y/N opened her eyes as the pitch black surroundings welcomed her again and was well aware that she's already asleep.
She even shrugged and sat down in the middle of nowhere in this pitch black room and any minute now she was certain that she'd wake up, just like the usual.

"What has happened to you?".

A sudden voice of a man whispered, echoing on the pitch black room.
Y/N hurriedly turned her head to look around and check who just talked but still to no avail did she find it as the inky blackness of the room savored her.

Despite being uncertain, she replied asking for the voice as it only answered again with pain and agony coating his voice.

"I'm sorry, you wouldn't have faced this tragedy if it wasn't for my disappearance, child. "

Y/N blinked her eyes as a flash of hope came over her, hoping that she could see the man's face but remained unsuccessful in finding him.

" W-What do you mean and who are you?". She paused then pleaded to the voice saying, "please answer me. "

The sincerity she felt in his voice and the feeling that he spoke of the truth urged her to know the entity more.

" I'll fix this, so that you can share your golden voice to the world who is in need."

It was all the entity, a bodiless voice of a man replied as he left her to wonder who he may be.
Y/N stood up as she began to turn on her heels, walking around and eager to find who is the owner of that sincere voice.

She even asked again in hopes that he may reply, but the voice didn't answer anymore as she suddenly heard a loud ring, banging the entire blackness of her surroundings and realizing she woke up.

As she opened her eyes and turned her alarm off, the reader was surprised when she saw the time in her clock, because finally she got to sleep for the longest time in years.
Days and weeks have passed and yet, she never dreamed of that anonymous entity again. And even though that was the case, that dream continued to boggle her mind.

His words were still vivid in her mind, just like the numerous questions that poured like waterfalls inside her head after their unlikely encounter.

However, nothing changed despite them meeting. Her dreams were the usual, pitch black and in an endless darkness.
On the positive note, she can now fall asleep easily and mostly garner a full 8 hour of sleep straight. Something she can describe as the "highlight of her life, so far. "

" Is that a dream? A sweet dream? Or a nightmare? Thus it's beautiful. A beautiful nightmare."

A dream regardless of whether it was sweet or a nightmare was something so beautiful.
A beautiful nightmare whom she never believed to exist.
A beautiful nightmare that paved the way for her to regain herself again and began opening her doors to make connections, have small convos with her workmates here and there, but despite everything with her life going back on track gradually, none of them ever brought that anonymous voice back in her dream.

She still didn't hear the answer she needed from that anonymous entity she met in her dreams but she thought of letting it slide since for the least, all that matters to her now is how his encounter with the entity's voice finally granted her the sleep she never used to have and to be honest, even though, he may never answer anymore, she is already grateful for the entity from her dreams.
