Y/n felt the sunlight flicker on her eyelids as a sign for her to go back to the real world. She has risen and started her routine, every day. She tiredly ready herself for class, almost pulling her weary body out of the bus as she finally arrived at the university. Nobody told her that dreaming is exhausting too, just like in real life or it's only her cause of her "ability" to alter her dreams. It's been two weeks ever since the Lord of the dreaming gifted her such the skill to decide her dream setting.
Speaking of the Dream Lord, the last time Y/n saw him was a week ago. The deity hasn't shown himself since when she played a piano piece after some years, because he asked her. Ever since that moment, y/n finally starts to play her musical instruments again, it may be in the waking world or the dreaming. Another reason for her to be thankful for Morpheus. She owed him, huge. And yes, she admits, she misses the deity's presence around in her dreams.
" Maybe he's busy doing some king stuff, like for real. You're not the only dreamer who needs to accompany tho. " Y/n said in her mind as she steps inside her class and carry on with her day.
Meanwhile, The Dream realm is currently busy. They spotted a conflict that surged at the dreaming, a week ago as the staff, crew and the Dream Lord himself were trying their best to track the main source of it's havoc. Lucienne proceed with her census on all the dreams and nightmare creatures that Dream created, just to make sure if something got loose again or runaway again like before.
" I still can't understand, how this unexpected happening occurs, we already solved the complication about the Vortex." Lucienne worriedly rants out her train of thoughts while scanning the book which is the product of her census.
" Well, maybe there's a new one?" Matthew said as he landed his little two Talons on Lucienne's shoulder.
"It can't be possible, Vortex was born mostly after centuries. And if it's a real one, Lord Morpheus should be aware of that. But this one, he's also not familiar with in this enigma." Lucienne said as she glance at the Raven on her shoulder.
" Uh oh. That sounds like a-- CAW! real trouble. " Matthew cawed after flipping his wings.
" But, Loosh, why did you suspect that "The Vortex" might did it? " Merv said as he stopped mopping the Library's floor.
" Some reports came to me about humans having uncanny dreams such as seeing a person whose unnecessary to be seen in their dreams, and according to them, its only the same person. But, the matter is they can't figure out who is this person, it's just like a perplexing image, still, they're sure that it's just one person. Because of that, the dreams, for some who saw that perplexed image is starting to faintly ruin the dreaming, as dreams and nightmares began to merge." tells Lucienne as she brought her sight to Merv.
" Oh okay, I am now too confused 'cause that sounds like a complicated Vortex and also not a Vortex to me?" Merv shakes his head in confusion and just resumes sweeping the floor.
" If it's confusing you, what do you think Boss's feeling right now?" Matthew said and flew towards Morpheus's throne.
Beyond confusion is what Dream's feeling at this moment. A fuse of confusion, terror, and agony are some emotions that Morpheus is feeling since the beginning of this week. He blames himself for what's happening to his realm, he became too distracted last week, that he even disregards checking every dream and nightmare that he created or the condition of the humanities' unconsciousness which he was capable of doing every day. But, he focuses on an individual, a mortal instead.
That's why he decided that their meeting must come to an end, without him saying his farewell. But he admits, that week was one of the unforgettable and joyous days of his whole existence. And now, besides his distress within the complication of his realm, he's also worried for her well-being.
