With her life back on track, Y/N starts to catch up on her studies and on her job bit by bit, "Guess the good sleep brought me some good effects eh? " she uttered to herself.
She even got to peacefully walk on the sidewalks while heading home and was rather adamant to fall asleep again, and seemingly giddy to see the pitch black surrounding her as she sat down still, even fully embracing the idea of her dream. As she passed by a music store window displaying a line up of musical instruments, a Hoffner guitar that was similar to the one she used to own made her sigh, smiling as she said, "I'll get you back home again. I promise".
Once she arrived in her small flat, she changed her clothes to comfy ones, took off her shoes and met with her beloved again, her very best friend which is none other than her bed.
Before she dozed off, her phone rang. Her mom called her and their conversation ended up with her crying after the 15 min call. The blackness welcomed her once again as she opened her eyes, sighing and trembling when she realized that even as she was dreaming, her tears followed her.
"Who could just ever think that besides laughing, and getting scared, you can even cry in your dreams too. Darn it. As if it wasn't enough for me to cry in my conscious life and yet it even had to happen in my unconscious life of all the places".
She said smugly and rather irritatingly, wiping the messy tears that rolled down her cheeks as she sniffed softly.
"Would you just let that happen to you? ".
The entity whose voice she had been yearning to hear spoke. She had to admit she did forget about him, but now that he is here once more, she turned and tried her best to look for him even though she couldn't see him.
" I don't have a choice." Y/N only sighed in dismay, as she dropped her head into her folded knees whom she hugged to her chest.
" You have a choice. You know that. Tell them. "
Y/N realized that as the entity continued to speak, she also felt like he was getting closer, and the closer he was, the softer his voice and tone was.
" I-I dunno. I don't wanna hurt their feelings. "
" You won't. I assure you. "
As she raised her head up from her knees upon hearing his reply, Y/N softly gasped upon finally meeting the mysterious entity to whom that voice belonged.
The first thing that captivated her upon meeting him was his eyes. It was remarkably beautiful. His irises were like two pools of ocean and inside of them were his pupils of which felt like you can see the galaxies residing within them, twinkling and fortunately looking straight at her very soul.
The very question that escaped her lips at that very moment upon getting mesmerized at him was,
" Are you a dream? Or a nightmare?"Y/N spoke with such curiosity as the being's piercing blue eyes only stared at her.
" I'll leave that thought to you, child." Was all the entity said before disappearing once more. He was no longer a bodiless voice or an anonymous being to her most especially how his eyes marked her very soul.
Before Y/N knew it, she opened her eyes to see the sunlight kiss her face, ensuring her that she is now awake and that dream, if ever it was indeed one felt so real she couldn't believe it.
Everytime Y/N recalls the entity she spoke to, she feels at awe. She may not completely remember how he looked, but his eyes were sure as unforgettable and nothing like she has ever seen.At the same time, she remembered his advice. His advice to finally tell her parents the truth. The truth to whom she wanted to pursue her very dream of which is to play music. With that thought in mind, she took her phone from her pocket and began to message her parents how she would come home later to them, even thinking how it is indeed now or never to reveal the very truth.
As Y/N' s dinner with her parents happened later that night, at the exact moment when they began to ask her about her career, the confession fell on her lips naturally.
" I really wanted to help you and it's what I intended to do regardless if you ask or not. It's just that Ma and Pa.... I wanted to pursue my dream...".
There was a heavy feeling residing on her chest as she continued to say those words that bottled up inside of her for so long, and luckily, as if the universe heard her though she was surprised, it went well with them.
Her parents accepted her decision and were rather happy for her honesty.
Later that evening while she was standing in her old room and admiring her old instruments, Y/N went for her small piano. She slicks it and feels the ivories underneath her fingertips, staring on the keys longingly as she uttered,"I'm sorry for making you wait for too long. I've missed you, my first love. "
As she wraps up her day and lays in her bed that night, Y/N can't still process what has happened today. It seems like her worries even though it was only bit by bit began to fade away. She felt silly, chuckling about the thought of how things seemed easy in resolving her problems, but, of course, something entailed with her situation.
Her parents would indeed allow her to pursue her dream, with the promise that she would still continue with her current course and would also continue to use her learned skills in the future to be able to financially support herself to rebuild her long forgotten passion in music.
At the same time, she felt grateful to that entity and thought of him once as she was about to drift into sleep, not before she spoke of her gratitude saying,"It is all thanks to that mysterious entity, I hope I can still dream of him and thank him for everything...".
