and after that everything felt normal. rin started coming with me to my ultrasound appointments, and doctors appointments. the nurses i had become friends with were happy that the father was now in the picture.

five months into my pregnancy and today was the day we'd find out the gender.

five months of him and i trying to be better for each other.

i put on a white dress and a thin brown sweater over it just because it was a little windy outside. with the pregnancy i've been more cold lately, it's weird.

after i finished getting ready i heard a knock at my door. "can i come in?" rin asked, "yeah" i replied. he opened my door and smiled. "people are starting to arrive. you almost ready?" he asked, "just finished" i said.

"you look good. how's the baby doing?" he asked placing a hand on my bump. "hungry" i muttered.

ever since we've started to reconcile, suna has been very active with the baby. like it's his most favourite thing in the world.

"let's head downstairs then" he said holding my hand.

"there she is!" atsumu exclaimed, "hey guys! thanks for coming!" i said giving the team a hug each. "wouldn't miss it for the world" osamu said, "why did we invite so many people" i said looking around at all the people that we invited.

"hey blame it on the parents, they seemed to invite like everyone" suna said placing a hand on my back. "so, what are your predictions?" i asked, "boy" they all said.

"you guys just want a nephew to play volleyball with" suna said shaking his head, "nah, if we get a little girl it'll be hell for her with boys" i said. "as if any guy will even come near her when she's older" aran said making everyone laugh.

after awhile i saw a volleyball net being set up. "please do not tell me people are going to be playing volleyball in the backyard" i said to my mom, she shook her head.

"ive sent atsumu to get everyone gathered here, you'll see what happens next" she said.

once everyone was gathered, my mom handed osamu a volleyball. "osamu is gonna toss the ball to you, you're gonna set it to rin, and then he's gonna hit it. there's powder inside so that's how you'll know what the gender is" my dad explained.

"ready, y/n?" samu asked, "yep" i said.

he tossed the ball to me, i set it, rin hit it.

the volleyball exploded and blue came out. i looked at rin while everyone was cheering and he gave me a kiss.

"i'm so happy you gave me another chance"
