It seemed as Robin Buckley was never made for having a romantic relationship, with anyone.

Nancy wheeler had just walked out on her after a phone call with Robins best friend, Steve Harrington. She thought Nancy was trying to cheat on her with him, but in reality she should've let her explain, yes, Steve still had a small amount of feelings for Nancy but that was his first love, but it would be hard to believe that the girl that was in love with her for over a year would leave her for her ex.

At this point she didn't think she was capable of being loved, she could never seem to keep any friends throughout freshman and sophomore year, she was antisocial in every sense of the word, almost becoming invisible at school, except from the rumours being thrown around about her. Steve was her first and only friend and the only person she could ever openly talk to, also the only person she had ever came out to except from Nancy. She was, and still is the freak of Hawkins High.

It was 6:30am, Robin had gotten roughly around an hour or so of sleep, she stayed up all night, crying. She walked to her wardrobe and pulled out the first clothes she saw that matched, she had to go to school so which meant she had to bare seeing Nancy. She had been dreading this since Nancy walked out last night, she wanted to skip school but it was too late now.

The time passed by as Robin ate her breakfast, which consisted of cereal and milk, once she finished brushing her teeth she heard Steve honking his car, she rushed downstairs, grabbing her keys on the counter while she walked past, once she locked the door she headed towards Steve's car.

As soon as the car got to the school parking lot Steve found a space immediately, he locked the doors so he could talk to the girl.

"Let me out, Steve!"

"Look Robin, she didn't try and cheat on you it's just that I...." He took a large pause

"That you what, Steve?"

"I was asking her if you were there, she said you weren't in a good mood."

"It's my fucking house Steve, of course i was there, at least come up with a better excuse!" Steve accidentally unlocked the doors and the girl got out, he immediately opened his door and called out her name as she walked on, she didn't even look back, she just kept walking.

She entered the school, her locker was quite close enough to the entrance, you could see, but not very clearly, if someone was at her locker, usually there wasn't anyone there except the normal jock that would call her a lesbian and leave, but this wasn't a jock, as she started approaching her locker she could quite clearly make out who it was, it was Nancy.

"Robin please let me explain."

"Explain what Nancy? The fact that you tried to cheat on me with my own best friend?"

"Robin."

"Nancy no, honestly, you expect me to be fine with this but, but big shocker, I'm not!"

"Please, I know what it looked like but it wasn't what you thought it was!"

"Just give me time, please, you'd understand if you were in this situation, I can't even bare to think about you without crying and I can't even believe I'm talking to you right now!"

"Fine."

They both walked their separate ways, Robin had English and Nancy had maths, conveniently they were both on separate floors.

Robin had just finished fourth period, she was heading towards the bathroom, she had as much time as she could need, seeming as it was lunch.

She walked in and saw Nancy in the middle of a make out session with Barb.

"Barb I told you to fucking get off me, oh my god I'm so sor-"

She was cut off by Robin running out and slamming the door.

She was trying so hard to get that sight out of her mind while she was walking to the cafeteria, it was practically impossible.

Robin arrived at the cafeteria, usually she'd sit next to Nancy but she couldn't do that, she decided to sit with Max Mayfield, the girl had been acting quite strange ever since the incident with her brother at starcourt mall. It was quite easy to see she was completely head over heels for her best friend, El, unfortunately she was with Nancys younger brother, Mike Wheeler.

"Hey Max!"

"Why aren't you with Nancy?"

"I don't know?"

"Did you guys break up?"

"First of all how did you know we were a thing and second off all, yes, yes we did break up."

"Well it's quite obvious and why?"

"She tried to cheat on me with Steve."

"She wouldn't do that Robin!"

"What do you mean?"

"She's fucking head over heels for you, I'm surprised you haven't seen the hearts in her eyes whenever she looks at you!"

"She was making out with Barb in the toilets before i came here though?"

"Did she say anything when you came in?"

"Barb I told you to get of- OH MY GOD!"

"Exactly, but here's some advice Robin, take this one slow, make her want you even more and make yourself fall in love her even more than you already are, you'll be the power couple of Hawkins then!"

"Thank you so much Max, how's things with El going though?"

There was a flustered look on the girls face, even the mention of the girls name made her blush.

"Oh my god Max, you're more in love with this girl than I am with Nancy!"

Little did I know, Nancy was at the table behind me while me and Max we're having this conversation, she probably heard everything.

Max did a little hand motion for me to come closer to her.

"You might wanna be quiet about Nancy, she's at the table behind us."
