"Max are you being serious?"
"Of course im being fucking serious, look behind you."
She looked behind her and as expected, she was there, no one was with her, normally it'd be either Barb or her, she knew she really shouldn't think this but, she felt bad for her.
"Holy shit you're right."
"Why would i lie?"
"I don't know!"
They sat for around five minutes until the bell went off, Robins next class with history, typically she would love history but Nancy sat next to her, she honestly couldn't stick being around the girl anymore, it made her sick to her stomach.
————————————————————————————
It had been ten minutes into history, Robin felt a knot in her stomach she knew she was about to be sick when this happened, she already asked the teacher to go to the bathroom but of course he had to say no.
Eventually she couldn't hold it in anymore, she ran to the bin and barely made it.
She heard the teacher speak but she could barely make out what he had said, it came in mumbles to her, the only thing she could hear was that Nancy was going to take her home, he knew they were 'best friends' but that made her even more sick.
Nancy helped Robin walk out of the school, she was trembling everywhere, the smaller girl tried her hardest not to touch Robin unless she was about to fall, until eventually she wasn't bothered to catch her when she was about to fall and just puck her up.
"Hey Robin are you okay with this?"
There was no response from the girl, she passed out.
Nancy laid her in the back of her car and drove Robin home, she figured she'd have to stay as much as she hated the thought of it.
————————————————————————————
They arrived at Robins house, Robin woke up about halfway through the drive, she was so confused on why she was in Nancys car, Nancy spent the other half of the drive explaining what happened.
They got inside the house and once again, Nancy had to carry the girl, this time it was to her bedroom.
They sat in silence until Nancy suggested something.
"Robin do you want me to call Steve? I know it's really awkward with us here."
"Oh, Steve."
"Robin."
"No actually Nancy, I don't want you to call Steve cause I'm really pissed with him at the moment, also you, so why don't you just fucking leave, I'm not a child anymore, I can take care of myself!"
"Robin I'm sorry."
"Nancy do you really think sorrys gonna cut it this time? No I didn't fucking think so!"
"Can I not just explain what happened Robin?"
"As I said, give me time, Nancy."
"What so you want me to give you more time so you can hate me more and literally become sick around me?"
"Nancy it wasn't because of you."
"Look, Robin I heard you and Max at lunch, we both miss each other so why don't we just try to make this work out?" She lowered her voice to a more monotone fit.
"You miss me?"
"Why do you think I've been trying to talk to you all day?"
"Fine, we can make this work out."
"Friends?"
"Friends."
They both shook hands.
————————————————————————————
They sat in silence for five minutes until one of the girls began to speak.
"So, Nance, what did happen on that phone call?"
"Well me and Steve were planning to buy you a necklace for a little surprise, I know the whole 'I'll come over later' things sounded quite suspicious but it really wasn't, you got the wrong idea."
"I'm sorry, it's just that I'm not really capable of being loved and when it comes to stuff anything like this my mind trails off into the worst things that could possibly happen, I'm really sorry for taking my anger out on you then and also like ten minutes ago."
The smaller girl grabbed her shoulders to force her to make eye contact, even though Robin absolutely despised eye contact.
"Hey Robin, listen you are capable of being loved, okay? I loved you for over a year, you are perfect."
Nancy could see an expression of hurt when she said loved on the girls face, deep down it really hurt her too.
"Thank you Nancy."
"Of course Robin."
