Vedant lifted a panicking Mahesh and helped him sit on the nearby chair. "This is all because of that stupid stone... Mayu was playing with... Isn't it?" Mahesh managed to speak as he got hold of the side support. The topic of time travel had baffled his mind.

"Yes..." Vedant hummed as he looked out of the window again. Mayuri looked at him curiously as she had never seen Vedant in a panicking state before.
"That stone somehow stuck to me and then it changed into this armor over my abdomen," she explained as she tried to muster up the strength to get up, but she failed again.

"You still can't move, right?" Vedant asked as he turned towards her suddenly. There was something in his eyes that made Mayuri even more curious now.
"Yeah, it's heavy... I wonder how you manage to fight with such heavy armor over your entire body?" she asked as Vedant scratched his head. Something was going in his mind, she deduced.

"It doesn't make sense. You can't lift so much weight..." Mahesh remarked as he made himself comfortable on the chair. He looked calm now.
"Exactly. I don't," Vedant said as he closed his fists tightly and a silver fluid started appearing over his body, and soon it solidified into metallic armor.

Mayuri looked at the luminous transformation as if she was expecting it. He lifted his arm and pointed it toward her ins a robotic fashion. "I didn't exactly lift my arm here... I just commanded my armor to do that. I mean I didn't use any muscle..." he tried to clarify, but it just made Mahesh's confusion worse.

"You mean you can just sleep inside, and move around just by telling your armor what to do?" Mahesh questioned.
"Something like that. And I believe that if this armor over Mayuri is the same as mine, I should be able to control it too..." Vedant said as he snapped his fingers.

Mayuri got up from the bed all of a sudden and started walking towards Vedant. "Are you doing this?" she asked as she stumbled upon the corner of the bed and was going to fall down. "Eeeekkkkk!!!" she cried as she closed her eyes.

But nothing happened.

"This is crazy..." Mahesh gasped.
Mayuri opened her eyes to find her brother staring in awe as she started levitating in mid-air. Vedant was relatively unaffected as if he was expecting it too. He tapped his toe against the floor gently and Mayuri slowly descended towards him. She struggled to maintain her posture as her feet touched the ground, but Vedant held her in position.

"Keep one hand over your forehead and one over your waist," Vedant instructed as he did the same.
Mayuri followed him to realize that she started feeling lighter than usual. She glanced beneath to see that the armor had vanished, it wasn't there anymore.

"It's gone!!!" Mahesh and his sister shouted in unison.
"No, it hasn't. You just absorbed it, into your body," Vedant remarked as he turned into his normal self again. Mayuri had a thousand questions in her mind as she looked into Vedant's eyes for the answers.

This was the first time that she noticed that his eyes were not plain black, they had a tinge of red too. "Our minds are connected, and so are our armors too," Vedant said as he glanced at Mayuri's eyes. Dark, deep, expressive. That's when he changed into a defensive stance all of a sudden, as he noticed a reflection of a movement behind him in Mayuri's eyes.

He signaled Mayuri to be alert as they all turned towards the balcony. That's when something struck Mayuri and she stopped everyone hurriedly. She ran towards the balcony and offered someone a hand. A feminine figure jumped into the balcony hastily and started to wipe the dust off her hands.

"Snigdha?!" Mahesh yelled as he took a closer look at the uninvited guest. "Why did you come here by the balcony?? And... How??"
Snigdha just looked at Mayuri and expected her dear best friend to help her explain the circumstances.
