Chapter 5: Disaster Occurs

Y/n POV

It has been a while since I last saw Hinami, I wonder what she's doing right now. I'm wandering around HQ with nothing to do.

But soon, I meet Sir Mado who looks very happy. Amon is there too. Upon looking at the smiling face of Mado, I became curious and decided to ask.

"Sir Mado. You seem very happy right now, is there something going on?"

"Oh, nice to meet you Young Y/n. And yes, thanks to Young Amon right here, I manage to get a new quinque."

"Ah, that makes sense. So it seems like your investigation paid off." I said.

"Amon, I hope you're going to be ok."

"Thanks, Y/n. But being a CCG means that you're putting your life on the line."

"I know. Anyways, I'm gonna go now."

"Well, it's nice meeting you, young Y/n." Sir Mado said as I walk away.

As soon as I reach the door leading outside, I got a text from Arima telling me to spy on a newly formed ghoul organization called the Aogiri Tree. The HQ didn't know anything about this organization because it's a small one. Sir Arima suspects that this organization might become trouble in the future.

"Well, guess this is gonna be my first mission." I quickly went to the location given.

Once I arrived, I'm surprised after seeing the number of ghouls guarding a building.

"Alright, this is gonna take a while." I wear my mask and unsheathe my blade. Atomic is thirsty for blood.

As I approach one of the entrances, some ghouls spotted me.

"W-Who are you?!" Random ghoul 1 asked as his kagune appeared.

"Never mind that, let's feast him." Random ghoul 2 said while smiling.

Both of them rush toward me, but I slice their kagune. They growl in pain. One of them tries to attack me from behind but I slice his head. The other one tries to get away. I took out my gun and shoot him a couple of times before he finally dies.

"Alright, now time to hide these corpses and begin my job." After hiding the corpses, I wear their clothes and cover myself using their blood.

As I went in, I try my best to not look suspicious and keep on going. After that, I went into a room that seems to be the place where the higher up gather.

"That's... Tatara." I look around there for more info on the member of the organization, but he spotted me. I act cool and just pass by. I think he didn't notice anything, which is good.

As I continue spying around and gathering information, I became a bit bored and decided to take a rest. But as soon as I sat, the two ghouls called the Bin Brothers appeared.

"You thought that you could just spy on us? Good thing, Tatara told us about you." One of them said. They both then use their kagune and tried to attack me. I ran away and after knowing I'm exposed, I decided to finish up the spying task.

Soon after I escape the building, many ghouls began chasing after me.

"NIGERUNDAYO!!" I kept on running and they kept on chasing after me. After leaving the ward, the ghouls stop chasing and return.

"They stop chasing? Probably the order from their higher-ups." As I peacefully went back to HQ, I met Sir Arima who is waiting for me.

"Hello there Y/n." Arima greets me.

"Hi, sir." I sat next to him and begin taking a seat across from him.

"It seems that you have some report for me." said Arima.

He knows?

"Yes, I do have a report." I said as I begin to told him most of my discoveries. Yes, MOST. I am not telling him how I got caught and running away.

"Very well then. We could use this information in the event of another raid." Sir Arima said as if he had known about this all along.

I was depending on him if anything bad was gonna happen, but now, now I'm starting to have my doubts. Like, am I really needed? Is this information truly worth getting? Not good, I forgot to turn off my microwave. I FORGOT TO TURNED OFF MY MICROWAVE!

"I'm sorry sir, but I need to get home as soon as possible."

"And why is that?"

"I forgot to turn off my microwave at home..." 

As expected a silence occurred within the room, at first, I was thinking that he's going to call firefighters to fight the fire. It has been hours since I left, my whole house must be burning from the inside out.

"What are you waiting for?"

I glanced at him.

"Go and save your home. How would you save other people when you don't even have a place to call home."

I don't mean to think about this...but is he mocking me? Nah, must be my imagination.

"Yes sir!" I said as I ran though the window.

I jump through several obstacles while trying to keep my path clear. Accidentally, I found some ghouls eating human right in the middle of daylight. They munch at those like they are a limited edition steak, but most of all, it felt gross. I decided to kill them before eventually running into another pack of lesser ghouls and killing them. Why am I in such a rush? Cause my home is in risk of dying!

I pass through several places until eventually arrive back home with a surprised since my home hasn't caught on fire. 

"Is this supposed to be a coincidence?" I asked myself while opening the door, just to see the microwave off.

"There's a note." 

"Don't forget to turn off the microwave again, by Sir Arima."

I crashed the note after reading it. So annoying...

A/N: So sorry that I haven't uploaded for months, y'know why. Anyways, I can't promise to keep publishing chapters till completed or can't promise to make a time gap to write a chapter. I'm so sorry ;( Also, this is kinda bad.
