The last month had flown by with us being back in the UK after spending time in the Maldives. Liverpool had played games in the Champions League, the Premier League and the FA Cup. Liverpool had got to the fifth round of the FA Cup and were also in the Carabao Cup Final against Chelsea at Wembley which was today. The last time Liverpool had won the Carabao Cup (EFL) was in 2012 and the last time they were in the final of the Carabao Cup was 2005 and 2012. In 2005 Liverpool lost out to Chelsea who they are facing in the final today. There was a lot of speculation on who would win, and with recent years Liverpool haven't gotten past the fifth stages of the Carabao Cup or FA Cup and so far they had proven the Carabao Cup verdict wrong.
Kick off for today's game was 4.30pm in the afternoon. Trent and all the players and staff travelled down yesterday and so did me, Theodore, Sophia and Dianne. We knew that today the trains would be packed and we're staying the night tonight and so we just got the room for two nights in the hotel which was a five minute walk to Wembley and so we were really close. The girls and Jacob and family were all making there way down this morning, thankfully in a few minibuses and so they weren't catching the trains. It hadn't reached midday yet and Wembley way was apparently full already mostly with Liverpool fans and there scarves. The last final I had been to with Liverpool was Community sheild against Manchester City who won it a few years ago. I was so excited for the game, but even more because the kids were going to be there. I wasn't working today, but I had done and edited all the matchday photos and templates despite the result tonight. Dianne was sat on the bed with Sophia and Theodore watching Peppa Pig and so I took the opportunity to post the matchday template on the club's social media accounts.

As I sat on the bed checking that the matchday template had posted on all the club's social media accounts. My phone started to ring, showing Trent's contact number and picture. I got up off the bed and sat down on the same bed as Dianne, Sophia and Theodore. Dianne looked at me and I showed her my phone and then she looked down at Sophia "Sophia sweetheart, your daddy's ringing" she said as I answered his facetime to show him and Robbo walking "heyyy!" He and Robbo said as we waved and Theodore smiled. "Where are you?" I asked as Trent moved the phone around to show us the whole of Wembley "we're at Wembley, looking around the pitch" He said as I smiled. "You looking forward to the game?" Dianne asked as Trent looked at Robbo and Robbo looked at Trent and they both nodded "yeah we are. What about you four?" Trent asked as me and Dianne nodded. Theodore babbled something Sophia nodded "I'm wearing my scarf daddy" She said as Trent smiled "yay! You wear that scarf high and proud. Daddy loves you" He said as Me and Dianne smiled. Trent m9ved the phone to the side and that's when Kostas, Virgil and Hendo all came into view and we waved.
