Cassie turned her face away from him, closing her eyes as she feared what he would do next. Jonathan watched as he stepped further away from her. She didn't move. Didn't speak. She couldn't. All she did was drop to the floor and hug her knees tightly into her chest. She was quiet. Still. Jonathan didn't know what to say. He had never shown affection to anyone, so why did this one girl suddenly make him want to change.

"Miss Sullivan...Cassie?" She gasped as she raised her head to see him kneeling in front of her. "Cassie." he softly said. No movement. Not even a blink. To him she was like a statue. Frozen perfectly at that moment. He looked up and down, admiring every detail when he noticed tears streaming from her face. "Cassie?" she was shaking and couldn't stop. He looked down at her hands and noticed the bruised rings where he had gripped her wrists, and took them in his hands, but she pulled them away quickly and reached for her bag to get up and leave. "Cassie?" he said.

"DON'T!" she snapped. She pulled the door open and ran, Jonathan tried to call out to her... but it was too late. She was gone.
