"gyutits?"

mingyu's eyes widened in confusion. how did the shorter male know his discord username? thinking back to the number of people he had been talking to in that social platform, with the rather familiar voice from somewhere, it occurred to him that the male he was talking to was actually his discord pal.

wonhoe.

"i'm sorry?" mingyu laughed which made the black haired male more flustered than ever due to the distance between the two. wonwoo remained silent for a solid minute or so, embarrassed for assuming his new colleague was actually the boy he ranted to on discord.

mingyu brushed it off and smiled at him. "what's your name?" he asked. the boy was fidgeting with his fingers and was hesitant to answer. despite mingyu already being aware of his name, he continued to ask solely to strike up a conversation with the shorter male.

"i-i'm wonwoo..j-jeon wonwoo" he stuttured. mingyu noticed the light shades of pink painted all over his cheeks, which he found pretty cute. "nice to meet you jeon wonwoo-ssi, my new colleague!" mingyu said with a wide smile revealing the canines poking out of it, causing wonwoo to feel his knees about to work against his will and tremble anytime soon.

they both head off to their stations, wonwoo making the drinks while mingyu preparing pre-made pastries. mr. lee would rather have pastries baked in a quick and consistent pace before the store opened so he didn't have to keep the hungry customers waiting. his last minute decision got mingyu wondering why he was hired if he wasn't able to show off his baking skills.

he pouted in disappointment and threw the batter away he just made when mr lee made the sudden announcement. he took the pre-made pastries from beside the door and put the box inside the counter. eunji was annoyed by the bulkiness of the box and cursed at it after nearly tripping on it.

"damn it mingyu, can you put this some place else where no one bumps into it?" she rolled her eyes as she took out a glass to brew herself a drink. "hehe sorry." mingyu apologised as he scratched the back of his head in awkwardness.

mingyu's first day went pretty well. many customers complimented his freshly baked pastries and adored his looks, especially the teenage girls. despite the pastries were pre-made, many thought the handsome mingyu was the baker behind them. causing many to fall in love with his gaze as he prepared the pastries.

two teenage girls approached the counter all giggly and enthusiastic, catching mingyu's attention with just a simple raise of a brow.

"hi! oh my god you are so good-looking. by the way, your pastries were tots delish!" one of the girls complimented mingyu as she held her phone to her chest. mingyu hoped she wasn't filming nor taking photos of him as that usually makes him uncomfortable.

"thanks?" he questioned. "what can i do for you?" he smiled which made the two girls giggle even more. "we just want your instagram if you have one." the other girl responded. at this point mingyu was feeling a bit off about the whole situation. but he didn't mind giving his instagram out to other people. i mean, more followers?

mingyu reached his hand out to get one of the girls' phone, which was protected by a clear phone case with floral decorations, to give out his instagram username. a loud yell for his name came from the barista counter.

"YAH KIM MINGYU, HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO PUT YOUR BIG ASS BOXES AWAY !!" eunji screamed, which caught the attention of the girls as well as other customers dining at the cafe.

mingyu quickly rushed to eunji and carried the boxes away while putting a small little smile plastered on his face. eunji glared at him which gave him chills down his spine.

"damn this girl is really scary.." he muttered to himself, luckily eunji didn't hear his comment about her as she was busy making an iced latte for a new customer.

as soon as mingyu finished putting all the boxes in the storage room, he came back to the counter to see the girls gone. it was either because eunji scared them off or they felt second-hand embarrassed for mingyu after being called out for his clumsiness.

he brushed it off and continued his job. he noticed wonwoo making drinks over at the barista area. he put his specs higher up on his nose bridge which mingyu thought was cute. the image of wonwoo's shy face kept lingering in his head throughout the day.

time skipped by in a blink of an eye and it was near closing. mingyu was busy cleaning the pastry display while wonwoo was sweeping the floor of the cafe where the customers enjoyed their drinks. eunji, who was busy wiping the barista counter, approached mingyu slowly. making mingyu quite confused of her slow movements.

"sorry if he's like that, wonwoo gets really shy around new people he has to talk to. especially with a smokin hot bod like yours." she winked. mingyu furrowed his eyebrows at the comment. "smokin hot bod? what is she on.." he thought to himself.

despite the strange comment. mingyu looked at wonwoo and then back at eunji. "it's fine, we barely talked but i actually hope to get to know him more!" mingyu squealed in excitement, causing eunji to chuckle subtly. "i see he has caught your interest. but beware of this man. once you get closer to him, there's no going back." she tilted her head backwards to laugh loudly and slapped mingyu's arm.

"ouch! that was not necessary. and yes, i'll take note of that." mingyu pouted as he continued to stare at wonwoo for what felt like years.

his aura caught his attention. the vibes, the looks, basically everything about the jet black haired male had mingyu wondering what he could do to get his attention. "yo gyu, you good? you are daydre-" eunji was caught off guard when mingyu left the counter area to approach wonwoo, who was almost done cleaning the floor.

"you wanna chill a bit after working?" mingyu asked hoping for a yes in his response.

"sure."
