STILL VANESSAS POV!!

I didn't know where to look first so I just walked. From what I could tell this was a small town, everyone seemed to know everyone. I heard loud cheering and saw a baseball field, i looked inside and saw the boy from earlier that was with gwen as the pitcher.

I decided to sit down in the lowest row, closest to the gate.

(IN THIS GWEN WONT BE AT THE GAME.. LETS JUST MAKE IT SO MR BLAKE AND VANESSAS DAD CALLED AHEAD OF TIME AND GWEN KNEW GRIFFIN WAS COMING OVER SO
SHE STAYED HOME!!!)

He was really good to be honest. He has gotten 2 strikes against another team, and good god. This is corny but the batter was gorgeous, I might drop dead. Even cuter than the pitcher. If i weren't clenching my jaw I'd be drooling. My face was warming up just from the sight of the boy. I heard cheering for the batter. 'Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!, Come on Bruce! You can hit it!'

That's his name. Bruce.

The pitcher did one more throw and....

HIT!!!

Bruce hit the ball, a home run too. I was clapping for him. It was really impressive! The opposing team seemed really upset, especially the pitcher.

After about 20 minutes the stands were basically empty besides me,the team, and a few others. I was zoning out until I heard a voice, "Finn! Man, your arm is mint. You almost had me!" I looked over to see Bruce talking to the pitcher. That must be his name, Finn! There was more cheering from Bruce's team. I smiled and started walking to the Blakes' house.

I looked back to see Finn following me. Then I remembered that he was with Gwen so he must be her brother? I walked back towards him.
"Hey! Finn right?" I asked.

"Uh.. yeah. Who are you?" He questioned, seeming creeped out by me.

"Jesus, calm down. I'm not gonna murder you, I'm Vanessa Stagg. Are you Gwen Blake's brother?" I waited. He stared at me for a bit and finally replied.

"Yeah. Im Finney Blake. How do you know Gwen?"

"I just moved here and my brother is hanging out with her. We're neighbors!"

"Oh, okay. Wait! My dads allowing a boy over?" He slightly smiled.

I laughed. "Yeah! Us Staggs are life changing, you see, we secretly warp peoples brains so they can be cooler and we warped your dads brain so he'd let my brother stay."

"Wow," he said sarcastically. "Can you warp my brain?"

"Sorry but no. We only do that to boring people and you seem cool."

He sighed dramatically, "Oh man, it sucks being so awesome."

We both laughed and kept joking until we reached finneys home. He walked in and shouted "Dad! I'm home and Vanessa is here to pick up griffin!"

Griffin came running down the stairs with makeup and nail polish on, looking terrified and shoving his head on my shoulder while hugging me.

"Oh my god. What happened?" I tried to hold back my laughter.

"Gwen did this to me. I feel like a clown." He wailed.

Gwen came running down now. "Yeah! Isn't he gorgeous in it!" She taunted, laughing.

"Griff," i said moving his chin to look at me. "To be honest, you've never looked better." I started laughing, not containing it anymore. Soon finney joined in and we all laughed together.

"You're coming to school tomorrow right?" Gwen and finney both questioned.

I nodded my head while griffin moved to stand next to the door, holding the handle. "Well, we have to go. It's 7:10 and I still want to look around." I explained. The Blakes' groaned and hugged us.

"See you." Finney said. We waved behind us and exited.

"Wanna check out the Grab n Go? It's a corner store with a pinball machine. I saw it on the way back here." I invited.

"Of course! Let's ask dad for money!" Griffin boomed.
