Making Sure

When we woke up the next morning me and Sam went to the closet. "Baby can I just wear sweats and a shirt?" I asked not really wanting to get dressed up.

"Yeah that's fine. I was gonna wear the same thing."

I grabbed my Bride sweats and said "Sam can I wear one of your shirts?" "Yeah. But only if I get to wear one of yours." He said laughing.

"If you really want too." He then grabbed one of his Hollister shirts and handed it to me and then grabbed one for him. We got dressed and I went to the bathroom and brushed my hair and put it up in a bun and Sam came in and we brushed our teeth. When we finished I went and put on my Vans and Sam did the same.

I grabbed my purse and my phone and Sam put his wallet and his phone in his pocket and then said "Are you ready?" I nodded and he walked over to me and hugged me. He then took my hand and we walked to the living room to see Ricky still asleep. I quickly jotted down a note saying that we would be right back. We walked outside and started towards the local pharmacy. When we walked over to the back wall to where the feminine products were located. There were many different brands so Sam just grabbed 3 of the like 50 and we started walking back to the front.

"Do you want anything to drink?" I asked Sam. He nodded and we walked to the coke thing and he grabbed a coke and I grabbed water.

We went and checked out and the cashier said "Can I see some proof of ID?" Sam and I both got out our driver's license and he handed it back to us.

"Neither one of you look like your 24. Are you married?" Sam nodded and he gave us the bag and we paid and we then left.

"That wasn't that bad." He said.

"Not really but I just wanted to get it over with so we can know for sure." He smiled at me and we eventually got back to the house. We walked straight to our room and shut the door and locked it. We sat on the bed and read the directions on each of them.

"Stay here please. And don't tell anyone please. I want us to do it together."

He nodded and said "I understand."

I kissed him and went to the bathroom. I took all 3 of them and sat them on a napkin on the counter and went back to the room. Now the wait. After the amount of time the boxes said I got up and walked to the bathroom. I picked up the first one and it was positive, then the second one, positive, then the last one, positive. I sat them back down and walked back to Sam and started crying.

"Where they positive or negative?"

"They were positive." He then started to cry.

"Who do you want to tell first?"  He asked.

"Well we can tell Ricky but let's wait and surprise the others when we get back. Is that okay?"

"Yeah that's fine. Well let's go break the news to him." We then got up and walked to the living room. He wasn't there so we walked to his room and the door was shut. I could hear music. We knocked and he said come in. He was dancing when we opened the door.

He then paused the music and said "What's wrong why are y'all crying?"

"You may need to sit down." Sam said and he did. We sat down next to him and he looked at us.

"I'm pregnant."

His eyes got big and he said "You're what?"

"I'm pregnant. As in there is a little human inside of me. Pregnant."

"If this is some kind of joke because I don't find it funny."

"Ricky it isn't a joke. Would you like to see for yourself?" Sam said.

"No I think I'm okay." He then hugged us and was starting to cry.

"But you have to promise not to tell anyone. We want to wait to tell them until we get back." I said.

"Okay. I promise."

We sat there hugging for a few more minutes then I said "How would y'all like to go play football on the beach."

They pulled away and Sam said "That would be fun. But I don't want you playing. It could hurt the baby."

"I was just gonna sit and watch." They nodded their heads and I said "Ricky put on your swim trunks and wait for us in the living room when you are done." He smiled and nodded his head and me and Sam left.

When we got to our room he said "Wow. He took that better than I expected. I thought he was going to scream or something similar to that." He walked over to the closet and got his swim trunks and put them on and then walked to me.

"I'm really excited. I can't believe we are going to be parents." He said.

"I can't believe it either. But I'm really excited to let the others know."

"Put on your swim suit and I'll be in the living room talking to Ricky." And he kissed my forehead and walked out of the room. I walked over to the closet and got my swim suit and went to the bathroom. I put it on and looked in the mirror. I turned sideways and I could see a little bump. I almost started crying again but I turned away and walked out of the bathroom. I put on some sun block then walked out of the room and to the closet in the hallway and grabbed a football and a blanket for me to sit on and I then walked to the living room.

They were sitting on the couch so I walked up to the back of it and said "Are you boys ready?" They got up and Ricky motioned for the ball so I gave it to him. Sam grabbed my hand and we walked out the back door. I stopped walking and I laid the blanket down and sat down. Sam and Ricky started playing and I looked at the sun to see what time it was. I still had around half hour before noon so I just watched them.

When about 25 minutes passed I said "Hey baby are y'all hungry?"

Sam and Ricky both nodded and I said "I'll be right back." Sam then yelled "Okay. I love you and please be careful." I smiled and got up and walked back towards the house. I opened the back door and walked over to the closet and got the basket that was in there and walked back to the kitchen. I opened the pantry and grabbed some chips and some bread. I then walked to the fridge and got out some lunch meat and some fruit and made 3 sandwiches and put the fruit in baggies. I then put everything in the basket and put 3 water bottles in it and then started walking back to the spot where the boys were playing. I sat the basket down then sat down.

"Hey boys come eat." They walked over and sat down. We began to eat and then I said "After we eat do y'all want to swim?"

"That sounds fun." Ricky said. We then ate and when Sam was finished he smiled at me and I got up and sat on his lap with my back to his stomach.

He then put his hand on my stomach and Ricky just smiled and said "I think that day y'all ran into each-other was Gods doing. I think he knew he could do great things with the two of you."

We smiled and then Sam said "Are y'all ready to swim?" I nodded my head and Ricky stood up. I stood up and reached for Sam's hand and he took it and then stood up. The water was beautiful and felt amazing. And we swam for what felt like hours and then the sun started to set.

"Omg. We should totally have a bomb fire for just us. I think that would be fun." Ricky said.

"That would be what do you think Sam?"

"That would be." We then started walking back towards shore.

"Babe you sit here and Ricky and I do all the work." Sam said so I just sat down and they returned with wood and Sam went to get more and Ricky started stacking it.
