The Worst Day Ever

And I paused my music and locked my phone then sat it down. "Okay why so quite?" They looked at me like I had found out a deep dark secret of theirs. 

"What do you mean?" John-John asked. 

"Y'all haven't said anything since we pulled into Taco-Bell. So what's the deal?" The boys exchanged glances and Payton stared at her hands, but didn't say anything. "Okay, then. Adrian will go first then John-John then Payton. Now talk." I said.

"Okay well. You remember that girl I have been dating for 3 years." I nodded and he continued "Well she was acting weird a couple of days ago and I asked her about it, she said she was fine. Then the next day we were watching a movie and she was asleep and her phone went off so I looked at it and it said *Hey babe. What time you coming over? I have been waiting for hours.* I sat it back down and woke her up and said 'hey it's getting late you should get home I have to go to my moms' and she nodded and left I then got in my car and followed her. She went to that guys house. So I went home. And this morning I looked at her Snapchat and she had pictures of them kissing. So I texted her and asked her about it she said 'oh that's just my cousin' and then this morning she broke up with me. And I had just got a text from one of her friends and it said *Hey AJ I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. She made me swear not to tell you.* So I asked how long have they been together and she said a year and a half. So she was cheating on me for basically half of our relationship." 

"Oh I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can do?" I asked. He shook his head and then John-John spoke up. 

"I may only be 19 but I have had my heart broken many times. And this last time was horrible. But that's beside the point. Yesterday right before I got the call about mom I was walking down the street and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw someone I knew. So I turned around and standing with her back against the wall was my ex. So I walked over to her and that's when I noticed it. She had a baby bump. I asked 'Is it mine' and she nodded and I was in shock. Her parents don't know so she is looking for a job and a place to live. And we only broke up last week and I offered for her to come stay in my apartment and she took the offer so she is getting ready to move in and we are going to try to raise the baby together but I don't know if it will work." 

By this time I had the car pulled over to the side of the road and I turned around, and said "You mean to tell me that at 19 you are going to be a father and you aren't married or engaged." He shook his head and I continued "We made the promise together me you and Adrian to wait until marriage. Do you not remember that?" he nodded his head saying that he did and I continued "Then why didn't you wait? And even better why didn't you use protection? They make things for that you know?" 

"It was a spur of the moment kinda thing. We didn't know it was going to happen so we weren't prepared. And we didn't think she was pregnant. She never experienced anything until she started to bloom. And she went to the doctor to check and they told her she was. And she's 6 weeks now." He said and then looked out the window at the passing cars. 

"Well if you decided to carry on with this then I'll support you. I'm just upset because I waited until marriage and I believe so has your brother." I said looking at Adrian and he nodded, and said "And if you really do love this girl then marry her. And you clearly do or you wouldn't have offered her to live in your house. So do you love her?" 

 "Why wouldn't I? She's beautiful, smart, talented and really nice. So yes I do." 

And he smiled and I said "So what are you gonna do?" 

"I'm gonna marry her." And we all smiled and I turned to Payton and said "Okay your turn." 

She was almost in tears and she said "I just really miss Connor and I don't want to lose my mom."
