I Think I Like You (Valgrace)

Chapter Two

Leo's P.O.V

Great way to start out your day is by getting knocked over by a guy who looks like he could bench press, like, a truck or something. At least he was nice enough to help me up, guys like that normally don't. I didn't recognize him; he must be the new kid everyone is buzzing about. I admit, he is cute, but I doubt he'll ever talk to me again. I mean, why would he? Just look at him with his blond hair and blue eyes and muscles! 

But then, he walked into my English class. Part of me was happy to see him, the other parts were unsure. I soon realized oops, the only free seat is next to me! So by default, Mr. Apollo put him right next to me. I tried to hide my anxiety by smiling and waving and to my surprise, he waved and smiled back. His smile was enough to light up a room, I swear. 

"Alright, class, I think that's enough reading for today," Mr. Apollo said.

Jason let out a breath of relief. "Oh, thank God."

I raised an eyebrow. "Do you not like reading?"

Jason shrugged. "It's alright. I just don't like doing it for almost an hour straight."

"I get that," I said. "But you get used to it after a while."

There was a silence between us. A silence I wasn't sure I liked. "Um, what class do you have next?" He asked.

"Oh! Um, I have Honors Geometry," I said. 

Jason's eyes widened. "Wait, you actually like math?!"

I snickered. "I mean, yeah. It's, like, the one thing I'm pretty good at."

"I suck at math!" Jason groaned. 

"I could tutor you, if you want?" I offered. I felt my face flush and butterflies in my stomach. 

Jason smiled, his blue eyes lighting up. "Really?"

I nodded.

"Thanks so much!" Jason said, his smile wider. 

"No problem," I said. "What class do you have next?" I asked, to keep the conversation going. 

Jason looked down at a piece of paper(his schedule I assume). "I have Biology." 

"Let me guess: Mr. Poseidon?" (Look I didn't know what else to put, okay?!) I said, rolling my eyes a bit. 

Jason chuckled. "Yeah. Is he a bad teacher or something?"

"Nah, I'm just kidding," I said. "He's pretty decent. He just didn't like me very much earlier this year." 

We continued to go over our schedules. He's in my lunch period, I have study hall, Civics and Government, and P.E. with him. 

"Oh, you should totally sit with Piper and I at lunch today!" I said. 

"Who's Piper?"

"Oh, she's my best friend," I said. "You'll like her, I know it."

Jason smiled. "Okay, see you then."

As if on cue, the bell rang.
