I Think I Like You (Valgrace)

Chapter Three

Jason's P.O.V.

Well, I suppose I made one new friend today. Maybe Leo's best friend Piper could be my friend too? I hope Leo wasn't joking when he said I could sit with them. Where do they even sit anyway? I guess I'll have to look around when I cross that bridge. 

-Lunch-

I looked around for Leo and whoever Piper was. At first I didn't see them. Then I heard a familiar voice shout, "Jason! Over here!"

I turned to see Leo and his bright smile. There was a girl sitting across from him. There was no denying she was beautiful. She gave a small wave at me, obviously shy. I went over and sat down beside Leo.

"Jason, this is Piper McLean, my best friend and partner in crime," Leo said, gesturing to her. "Piper, this is Jason Grace, he is our best friend now."

Best friend.

"Finally, we have a trio!" Piper exclaimed with a smile. "We can cause more trouble that way!"

I tried to smile. I'm not really into getting in trouble, I've always been a good kid I think. However, I could tell Leo and Piper were not. But maybe it's time for me to loosen up, live a little instead of being a golden boy. 

"Don't worry, we won't drag you into our schemes," Leo assured. "I mean, unless you want to."

I considered for a moment. "Do I get to choose whenever I want to get involved?"

Leo nodded. "Of course. What kind of people do you make Piper and me out to be?" He chuckled. 

I laughed as did Piper. "I'll get involved sometimes," I said. 

Piper turned to me. "So, how do you like it here?"

I shrugged. "Eh. It's only my first day so I don't really have much of an opinion yet."

"That's fair," Leo said. "I didn't really like it here much either, until I met Piper of course."

Piper smiled. "Well, who else would I get into trouble with?" She joked. 

"Are you two, um...?" I trailed off.

Piper and Leo looked at me at the same time confusedly then realized. They looked at each other in utter shock that I'd ask that.

"What?! No!" Leo and Piper exclaimed at the same time. 

"She's, like, my sister!" Leo said.

"And he's basically my brother!" Piper added. 

I let out a mental sigh of relief. "Okay. I was just curious." 

Both of them looked at me but differently. Piper was just curious about me and wanted to be friends. Leo, however, was also curious but I couldn't read if he wanted to be friends or not. Maybe he doesn't like me after he learned a bit more about me?
