I left Kim's driveway after Nyx told me I can talk to her tonight. I never could've thanked Garrett or Nyx enough. I have never been more scared of someone being around me, but I think it was a good kind of nervous, or bad, or both of them. It was a little terrifying talking to Nyx after what happened last time but I'm so glad I powered through it.

I could hear the music from Silverleaf down the street. It was some type of rock and roll music or heavy metal, but I couldn't really tell from so far down the road.

I went to park my car, but some student messed up his parking spot next to the spot I was going for. Judging by this guy's parking, this was definitely that new kid, Fonseca. He's this tall, lengthy kid who was very indie. He seemed cool to be around though. I have only seen him around school and never actually talked to him.

I got out of the car carefully so as to not hit Fonseca's car. It was a Toyota Celica which looked pretty cool. Sometimes I get quite jealous about that car, only for the looks though.

I parked my car, and I started walking towards the party. There were balloons strung about the entrance as well as stage lights shining our school's name in the dark. It was quite pretty to look at, for a school dance anyway.

Garrett was already there, eating whatever the school gave away for students here. I started walking over to him and the school librarian was over there, talking it up with him. She always seemed kind of weird. There was a rumor about how they laundered money, but I think everyone knows it's not a rumor. I have definitely seen her doing something like that with the school's textbooks outside of the school.

After I walked in, Garrett saw me and started to run over to me. I have never seen him more excited before, let alone to see me.

"Finally, you show up. I've been waiting forever!" he exclaimed over the loud music.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Erza was here with his group, which I guess used to be me and Garrett's group. That was a scary sight.

"Yea I know! Sorry about that! I've never been more nervous to be around this school before. I can't tell if it's a good or bad nervous feeling!" I shouted.

Behind Garrett, I noticed Kim walking into the gym. Her black dress was beautiful. I could see her eye makeup from here. Her black lipstick made everything on her face just pop. I was so drawn to her at this point.

I started walking up to her. She noticed and gave me a gross look, just like when I first met her. I kept walking up to her anyway. I was nervous, but I was just hoping she wouldn't punch me.

She pulled out a small notebook, smaller than the one she usually uses.

When I said I didn't want to see you, I meant it. I thought you would have respected that.

I knew this is how it would work out. I had to convince her to at least talk to me, be near me at the very least.

They were playing slow dance music so I knew I could say something here, to just tell her everything. Garrett was in the back by the bathrooms and just gave me a thumbs up.

I took her by the hand and brought her over near the bathrooms so she could somewhat hear what I was saying. We sat on a bench, and she pulled out her notebook.

Why did you bring me over here? Is this some type of way for your friends to ruin my night? You do realize I don't want to speak to you.

She was still mad about it but anyone that had been treated like she was would also be mad. I was scared to just spill anything. I was scared to tell her how I really feel, how everyday whenever she messaged that I was just a little bit happier every day, how she always looked amazing in her clothes, even if they were something everyone wore, or how her hair was always so pretty to look at no matter what. Her eyes were always so mesmerizing to look into and sometimes, I could see a glimpse of what we can be.
