Pinball Vance

School the next day was complicated. There was two fights and 1st period hadn't started yet. I've seen vance around a couple times and we both happen to lock eyes. When I got to first period I realized William wasn't here yet. I sat and waited for him for awhile. The bell rang so people could start to go to class now. William walked in and sat next to me. His face was red and his hands were clenched.

"William what's wrong?" I asked concerned.

"Nothing I'm okay" he lied.

"No if I can't go through my problems alone then neither can you. Now spill" I said reaching for him hand.

"Some kid was talking about me and my family. I don't fuck around with my family." He explained and I nodded.

"I understand. Would you like to talk about it?" I asked smiling a bit. He looked at me and he melted a bit.

"I guess yesterday when you stood up to my brother it gave some other kids to bully the shit out of him and me. Now they talk about our house. Our parents. Just us. I don't know what to do to help vance. Or Me. All I know is to beat people up for it." William explained.

"Let me fix this" I begged him. The entire period I begged him to let me fix it. So when he finally let in I waited for 5th period. Science. We didn't have anything to do today. So when the class bell rang to leave for 4th I walked quickly through the halls. My eyes wondered around trying to find his eyes again. I pass by the group of boys and saw vance. I waved him over. He gave me a confused look. I waved him forward more. He didn't come at all so I walked into class and waited.

When the bell rang vance still didn't come in. Of course he came in late after everyone gave their homework. I told the girl that normally sits next to me to sit in vances seat.

"Well nice of you to join us Mr.Hopper. please have a seat next to luna for me." The teacher said and he rolling his eyes.

"I don't know who luna is?" He said annoyed. I raised my hand and he scoffed before going to sit next to me. The teacher started talking and I leaned over to vance.

"Stop ignoring me please. We need to talk" I stated to him. He rolled his eyes again.

"What?" He asked annoyed.

"I didn't realize me sticking up for myself was going to make people bully you for no reason. Please let me fix this. I have a plan if you just let me-"

"No. I don't want your help. I didn't need it before and I don't need it now. Leave me and my brother alone" he said glaring at me.

"Please. Let me fix this and we will never have to talk again. I promise. Just. Please" I begged and he turned to look at me. He had a tiny smile on his face.

"Fine let me hear your little plan" he mocked.

hen I got to Williams table he immediately started to tell me about how his day was so far. I told him about mine and finally I saw vance sit down. We locked eyes and I nodded.

"What is this bitch doing here?" Vance snapped and I pretended to act shocked.

"Dude don't talk to her like that" William said confused. His eyes left vances and met mine. I looked away quickly and looked down.
