chapter 45 _take care of her

KENDRICK'S POV

"Oh so You found your new inspiration?" Drake suddendly appeared break my concentration.

"Silly get out,your not allowed in  here!"i blurted trying to cover the cavas that im working on.

"No need to hide it bud,i saw it already.i would love to hang that on my restaurant! So you kissed?" Drake teased.

"Hell no! Its not what you think!"i lied.though theres no point of hiding it drake knows me so well.

"So youre just imagining that you and haley kiss?you maniac!"he laughed while looking at the painting of me and haley.i love the outcome it was just so surreal just like how i imagined last nights memory.

"Ok fine we kiss end of story.tell anyone and i'll forget we're friends.

"I knew it right on the plane the moment i saw you together.

i saw "koi-no-yokan" in the two of you."

Drake said.

"Koi-no-yokan? What do you mean?"i asked

"Its a japanese word which means premonition of love, its sensing upon first meeting two individual that they are going to fall in love"he explained

"Love at first sight! Is that ehat your trying to say?"i said with confusion.

"No, this is different from the idea of love at first sight. It doesnt imply that the feeling of attraction/ love already exist during that time rather it refers to the knowledge that love is inevitable."

"Whatever you say Shakespear"i said trying to laugh it out!

"So you two are together now?" Drake asked

"No but i like to court her"i smile

"Way to go lover boy! But i think grey wont let you have her without a sweat! He's a tough opponent.

I have to go!i'll promise kimmy that i'll fetch her." Drake said

"Ok fine! Your not even supposed to be here in the first place"i joked

Thrn drake started singing before going out.

"I kissed a girl and i like it!

i like it!"he's crazy!

HAlEY'S POV

Its been weeks since grey and i started dating but not that exclusive because kendrick is also persistent in courting me.

Right now i dont know whats harder is it having nothing to choose from or having alot of choices but you know you cant have it all.

The two of them becane special go me in a different way.

Grey is a good guy,a perfect boyfriend material but im afraid friendship is all i can offer him.i gave him a chance because i know he deserves it.God knows i tried to look at him in a diffrent way but all i can see is a friend in him.

I wont deny that i dont feel anything for kendrick but the dram i had last night confuses me so much, i dreamt that i kissed him then suddenly his face changes jnto keiths face. Did i just kiss him back last time because im still seeing keith in him.

GREYSON'S POV

"Good you came!"i said as i took another jump shot as kendrick entered the basketball court.

God knows im doing this for haley.i wanted to make sure of something!

"What do you need? If you'll ask me to get away from haley,im sorry i cant!"he said

"Defeat me on a basketball match right now and i'll stay away from her.but if you cant defeat me then stay away from her"i said as i throw the ball in his chest and he stop it with hos both hands

"What do you think of her? A game!" Kendrick said full of furry.

"No more talking!" I said as i immediately grab the ball from him and dunk.

"Rules: there's no rule you can do anything you want,first one to reah 50 points will win!" I  said

At first he hesitate to play but in the end he agree i just have to push him to his core.

It was not bad for a match we both did everything we've been running pushing for hours and no one wants to surrender. It was a dirty basketball game like what you see in underground basketball game, hitting,punching,pushing and everything you could think of.

Its a close game between us with the score of 38-31 in my lead. We both gained bruises,scratches much more than our score.

"What are you going to surrender now?" As i see kendrick on the stumbles on the floor.

I can see the redness in his swollen ankle.He tried to block me with full force jumping in front of me when i was about to shoot.

unluckily was out of balance and ends up on the ground first and i accidentally landed on his feet.

I thought he will surrender but instead he stand in his feet and said

"Never!" As he spit off the blood in his mouth. Good thing theres no classes today fo sure we'll end up suspended if someone will see us.

He runs as fast as he can and took the ball from my also swollen hands then shoot.i can see that its not easy for him to move his swollen ankle pain was written all over his face.

"Not so easy there buddy" i said as took a rebound and tried my luck in the 3 points area,and right on the basket again!i can see the frustration in his face as the score turned 45-41.

"Do you regret that you agreed with this fritzford"i said as i dribble the ball and take another 3 point shot.im not a basketball team captain for nothing.

"I wont quit never"he said as he tries to follow my pace guarding me with alm his best.i fake a jump shot.i know thats his last staw from the looks of it he can no longer jump or take another step because of his injury.

I was amazed how he tries to jump to reach the ball on my hand.he eas able to tap the ball yet it wasn't enough the ball still ends up at the ring!

"50-43 not bad fritzford"i said as i turn my back into him

"F'ck!"i even heard him cuss

KENDRICK'S POV

I just wanna shout to death! I tried everything to win but i failed now i have to do all thr consequence that comes with loosing.

All i did was stare on the floor. I could hear grey's footstep moving away from me then suddenly he stop in his track

"Just take good care of her! Make her cry and im going to take her away from you"

thats what greys last words before going out.does that mean he is giving way for me and haley? I dont know whats going on with his mind but i know i owe him alot!

On this game i just realized lots of things.im so in love with haley and i wont give up just to be with her.
