chapter 3: first job

" R-right. I'm right behind you, so just tell me what I need to do."

Anna " okay then. It's not that far from here so you don't have to worry about a long journey after what you've been though. But either way, hurt or not absolutely nother here is free, so working for caps to buy scraps is a must. Hell just breathing the air here cost you your lungs haha."

" Right so I guess you know by now that I can't remember anything, so just how big are these geckos."

Anna " these bastards are about a foot n' six inches. They have a decent amount of protection from they're scales. So with that in mind it's you can never be to safe."

" Got it. Aiming for they're head and chest would be best as it's the softest place on them right."

Anna " correct green rabbit, head or chest. Sometimes aiming for the legs of other enemies will minimize chance of killing the target. For instance if your target is wanted alive, that's how you would go about it."

While they were talking they were slowly approaching the designated area, where the geckos were nesting and attacking anyone who would get to close. Slowly they got into a sniping position to count out the enemy.

The numbers were not in they're favor, as there was at least fifteen to twenty geckos in the area. They begin with taking the closest three. Anna proved to be quite good with a semi-automatic laser rifle. Izuku was exceptional with the bolt action karabiner 98k. Although he was still missing some of his shots, this is to be expected from someone who, before today had never even touched a gun much less shot one.

And yet, being brought to this world seemed to have given him a bit of natural feel for the two guns he's use so far. While Anna had taken down all three of the closest ones, izuku had taken out another two going straight at them. With five down and ten more to go, from what they can see. Izuku takes out his 9mm, with the geckos closing in, he takes aim and fires five rounds, hitting three points on two enemies. One though the head and the other two time in the chest, killing both.

One of the geckos snuck up close enough to bite izuku in the leg, leaving him in pain. Quickly put two bullets in between it's eyes. Anna having seen this quickly hit him with a stimpak. The stimpak acting as an enhanced healing agent and painkiller letting him recover quickly.

With their cover being blown, the two rush into battle shooting left and right . Moving in izuku only had ten more 9mm rounds. He knew this so he begin picking his shots carefully And as the world once again slowed down as izuku locked on to his targets. Shootings all three that were all two meters away, leaving him with six 9mm rounds. Anna took out four more leaving three to take off running for the hills.

Anna " that was quite something. I had no idea there would be so many, I'm glad we made it out."

"Yeah.... I though I was done for when that gecko bit me, if I'm being honest."

Anna " tell you what, now that this job is just about done, why not come back to my house for something to eat."

" I-if it's really okay with you then.... Please."

Anna " of course it's okay with me hahaha. Why would I offer if I wasn't okay with it?"

" O-oh well from what little I do remember, I was never really like by anyone that wasn't my mom or dad."

Anna " well your a good kid and a good aim so it's worth something keeping you around."

" Okay then. I'll do my best, work hard and make myself as useful as possible. though I'm not the best, I'll be here as long as you need me."

Anna " alright then. Let go ahead and skin these geckos and take as much as we can. The meat may not taste the best but it's one way of saving your caps. You know how to skin an animal or do I need to teach you."
