chapter 4 : something old

As a rift opened up between the two worlds, stepping through izuku and Anna see the city bathed in an array of lights. Gold, purple, pink, yellow, bright whites to dull Grays. All the most beautiful lights glimmering against the dark night. Anna had seen some beautiful nights back in her old world, but nothing like this. The air so pure and fresh compared to the of the toxic wasteland known as the Mojave desert.

To Anna, this was nothing more then a dream. A miracle to be in a place so seemingly clean, and free from the constant threat of death from simply breathing to much air. She found herself lost in it's beauty and peace. She, in only seconds of being here, felt her lungs clear up and her breaths so full. While Anna was lost in the city's beauty, izuku only saw it's filth. It's cancerous infection, the very thing that drove him to kill himself.

All he could see was villains and common thugs, along with fake heros looking for the spotlight in the dark night. And yet he could not hate this place, as it was not the view or vibrant colors that hurt him. As of right now he stood In his N.C.R ranger combat armor, with a hight of 5-10. He looked to his right to see the portal close for good, he was going to stay and no one was going to tell him otherwise. He looked to his left to see his sister stuck In a daze while overlooking the city, captivated by it's lights an unseen sites.

To him all of these lights were all too familiar, he had known this view for most of his life. But to see it again was something he thought he would never get to do, and yet here he was. He gently puts down his duffle bag as he reaches out to Anna, slowly placing a hand on her shoulder, giving a small shake. She moved her face to him but took a second to peel her eyes away from what she was seeing. As she looked at him, he could see how overjoyed she was to be here and get a new start.

Anna " th-this place is better then I imagined. And just the air and how clean it is, is simply astonishing."

" I'm glad you like it here already. Just wait till you see all of that up close and experience all the things this place has to offer. You love it, I'm sure of that much."

Anna " I don't doubt it. Just from what I see here I already never want to leave this place. This truly is a place I can settle down and start a life with a little family someday."

" Well for now you can start with getting a house and a job. but there's the whole identification problem, seeing as you're not from this world there will be no records of you existing making it very hard to do anything legally."

Anna " we will figure it out. For now do you know somewhere we can stay for the night. Or is it back to camping cause we have no were to go."

" Hmmmm. I think I know of a place but I don't guarantee that they'll let us stay."

Anna " it's worth a shot I guess."

" Mhm let me just find some internet to connect this pip-boy to.... Got it."

Anna " hooray one step closer to being out of the streets and into a house."

" Shhh... Come on pick up. It's 4:00 am so she probably won't answer and this is a text now number sooo... Don't get your hopes up."

Anna " aw man you just had to bring your negativity with you."

" What ever."

???? " Hello... Who is this and way are you calling at 4 IN THE FREAKING MORNING."

" It's an old friend and I need a favor. I'll be over in 30 minutes, so please don't go back to sleep mas."

???? " How do you know that nickname. Only one person calls me mas, so who are you!?"

"I'll be there in 30 and you'll see."

As izuku hangs up the phone app on his pip-boy and picked up his duffle bag once more, he looks at his sister.
