Hello folks, how is everyone? I have decided to give a very long chapter instead of a triple update...
CHAERYEONG POV:
My heart was still racing from the lingering feeling of her touch. Nae, it was a while ago that she did that but that was my first kiss... if that counts? Wait... why is she flooding my mind? I don't like her. You don't like her. No, no, no you can't fall for your own boss, Chaeryeong pabo! That doesn't matter... she would't love me anyways, she's got that sort of determined work ethic and ANYONE who knows her knows that nothing within human knowledge or contemplation can waver that. Damn it, I'm hopeless.
"Ryeong, just admit you like her and move on." muttered Yeon, my annoying older sister.
"I don't like her though!" I snapped back at her, heat rising to my cheeks, she pinched it slightly and chuckled at Jihyo and Sakura knows what. Pushing her away I let out a small humph and a pout.
"Yah, you're blushing~" she teased. Ugh, I really hate her sometimes.
"Not now unnie!" I yelled at her little shocked face, ran upstairs and slammed the door. I can love my boss or my former dance club captain? That's the least of it! I can't love a girl, I live Seoul! What would happen if I decided to- damn it.
What's up, Ryu?
I have a challenge for you.
You called me for a challenge?! Annyeong, I'm hanging up.
ANIYO! I just want to see if you love someone.
Wae?
It's a trend in school, you... didn't know?
Obviously not.
Well, look to your left and picture them. Picture them cuddling you and soothing you and being there for you when you need it most. If you pictured someone you love them.
Uh...
Did you think of someone???
Unfortunately, nae.
Unfortunately?
Nae, now annyeong Ryujin-ah.
It can't be. I promised myself never to love again and here I am standing like a fool staring at my phone like it's cursed just because I thought of my loved one. Damn it Chaer, you're hopeless.
Third Person POV:
Flashback:
"Fuck you!" A cat-eyed boy yelled at the frightened girl who was curled up underneath a table.
Dishes were broken, chairs snapped, glass shattered all over the floor, books had tossed themselves into random places and wood splinters in pools of blood staining the wooden floor. Treachery, pain and suffering were not-so-neatly spelled out amidst the mess strewn out along the apartment. The boy had been yelling at the younger for about half an hour by now and there were bruise marks and scars all over her body. He struck her with the metal bat again, aiming for her back. She managed to dodge, still sobbing, with the table crashing down right next to her. Her limbs started to shake as he approached her.
"SO YOU FINALLY DECIDE TO BE SCARED, HUH?" he kicked her like an animal and pushed her up against a wall.
"Hy-Hyunjin, please... you're just drunk again." the girl pushed him off slightly and made for the door
"Drunk with anger! Felix sent me a voice recording of your moaning... you cheater!" Hyunjin yelled after her. "LEE CHAERYEONG YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!"
Chaeryeong's eyes burned aflame with his words, "and you know what he did, right?", her voice was icy cold for her usual warm-heartedness, Hyunjin flinched at her words. "I should've listened to her, you were no good Hyunjin."
"What did my sister say!" he ran towards he as she was about to shut the door.
"It wasn't your sister." She slammed the door on his hand and he winced at the pain: emotional and physical; his body collapsed and the walls folded into themselves. She was gone, forever.
Flashback YEJI, THIRD PERSON:
"What?!" She yelled over the phone. "You promised not to break her heart and blah blah here you are."
"I swear it wasn't my faul-" Hyunjin yelled from the other end of the line.
"Bullshit, ever thought about how Felix got the recording?" Yeji was practically yelling at her brother as she paced around the room, her left hand massaging her temple. Getting no response she chuckled at his stupidity, "Silence huh"
"I didn't think of that." He fired defensively as if that would even help him get out of the mud.
"I know damn well you didn't."
"Shit Yeji, you don't even listen to me anymore."
"Don't try to gaslight me." Her voice was calm and stable but her hand was trembling, her phone about to drop to the floor. Hyunjin was the last relative she had alive (her sister and parents were dead) and as much as she wanted to hate her brother to hell right now, she just... couldn't.
"I'm not!"
"Arasso, who was the girl?" Yeji asked. Every-time her brother experienced heartbreak or broke a heart this would be her first question so that she could either hunt down the girl or check up with her whether she was okay.
"Aish, the cliche as always."
"Answer."
"Chaeryeong, Lee Chaeryeong." He replied and then hung up the call. Yeji was left dumbfounded. She placed her phone on the table and walked over to the kitchen to splash her face with water.
Yeji POV:
How do I still remember this? I was drunk, it can't be anything else.
Chaeryeong POV:
I have to, I need to, I can't do.
I can't love her.
