LOVE, a noun, an intense feeling of deep affection.

There's multiple kinds of love.

There's love for a movie, for a pet, for family, for friends and the worst of them all,

the romantic love for one or sometimes, multiple people.

Love is a scary thing.

It makes you vulnerable, it forces you to let people in, it allows them to see deep into your soul, see all your flaws and faults, it gives someone the power to complete tear you apart.

Desideria Fiore Cattaneo hated love.

Her best friend would say love scares her, but Desideria disagrees.

Desideria wasn't scared of love, she simply didn't want to feel it, ever.

Sadly, things never really went her way and love came knocking on her door a thousand years ago, but she hadn't fully opened that door yet.

It was open just a crack, just enough for her to see who stood on the other side and staring back at her was a face she had memorized long, long ago.

Long lashes, a slightly crooked nose from having it broken as a young boy, a smirk that spelled nothing but trouble, a barely noticeable dimple on the right side of his cheek when he smiled just a little too wide.

Never had she loved another person the way she loved him.

She loved him violently, possessively and obsessively, but she loved him nonetheless.

Seeing him with other girls sent her into a spiral of anger and hate she had never experienced before she met him.

Her love wasn't pure by any means, but it was true.

He brought out the absolute worst parts of herself and she hated it, but also absolutely loved it in secret.

Love knocked on her door a thousand years ago, but would she ever let it in?
