Gabbriela
My family, Derik, and I arrived at King's Cross station at around 10:20. I was quite nervous, since this was going to be my first, real magical experience without the guidance of my mother and father. Derik already had friends that were going to Hogwarts as well, like that boy named Icarus, that apparently he had become friends with. Me on the other hand, was alone. I hoped to make friends on the train at least.
"Honey, do be careful when you get on the train, please," my mother told me. She was just as nervous as I was about me going on the train by myself with only Derik.
"Don't worry Mom! I got this!" I smiled at her to reassure her that I would be fine. My parents needed to go to a work meeting, so they had to drop us off at the station.
"Goodbye Ela! Make sure to write to us at least once a week!" My dad shouted after us as we walked into the station.
"Don't worry! I will!" I was kind of excited to get to Platform 9 3/4. "Derik, don't you need to get to some of your friends? They must be waiting for you." I stated, looking around.
Derik looked confused for a moment. "Ooooooh yeah, I forgot about them." I rolled my eyes at his forgetfulness. "Yeah I should probably find them," He says. He then gave me a smack on the head and jogged off to find his friends.
Locating the wall between platforms 9 and 10 was easy enough. I was about to start running at the wall, when I heard a girl's voice behind me.
"Umm... Hi. Are you going to the Platform 9 3/4? I kind of got lost and I don't know where to go." The girl behind me said. The girl I saw was taller in height, and had light skin with light blue eyes. She had shoulder length, sandy brown hair that was tied in two small pigtails.
"Yes, it is. I'm guessing you are a first year as well?" I asked. She visibly sighed and it seemed like she had relaxed a bit.
The girl smiled, "Yeah, I'm Olivia Hyacinth, but you can call me Liv." She informed me.
"My name is Gabbriela Haywood, but you can call me Gabby," I smiled back at her. "We should probably get onto the platform so we can hop on the train and find a seat."
---------------------
Once Liv and I made it onto the platform, it was around 10:50, leaving us with ten minutes to get on to the train.
"C'mon, Liv. Lets get on the train. leave the luggage by the train guy over there." I told her, pointing to a guy loading luggage next to the train. Liv dropped her brown leather trunk to where the guy in the train employee uniform was. I did the same. Once we got rid of our bags, we boarded onto the train and started looking through the aisles, looking for a free compartment. We were unable to find a totally free compartment, but we found one that only hosted Derik and that boy from the pet shop, Icarus Minefold.
"Can we sit here?" I asked Icarus and Derik.
Derik replied, "Yeah, sure." I noticed that Icarus was sleeping against the window already. Olivia and I sat down. I pulled a book out of the bag that I took with me so I could hold some books and my robes. I saw that Olivia pulled out a card deck and started playing cards with my brother.
-------------------
It had been at least four hours, and I was getting hungry. Soon enough, the trolley lady came by our compartment.
"Anything from the trolley dears?" The lady asked.
"Yes please. Could I get two boxes of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, two chocolate frogs, and two pumpkin pasties?" I asked. The lady nodded and told me the price, which I payed. She handed me the candy.
Then Liv got some candy as well as Derik, who got Icarus some stuff since he was sleeping. I opened one of the pumpkin pasties and took a bite.
"Do y'all wanna play a game? We can play with the jellybeans. We take turns eating one, and if you get a bad flavor, you're out of the round." I asked.
"Sure, why not," Liv said.
Derik shrugged, "Why not? I'll wake up Icarus." Derik started shaking Icarus. Icarus yawned and woke up.
"What is it?" He asked. "Oh, hi Haystack," he directed towards me.
"We're gonna play a game," I said, rolling my eyes at the nickname. I proceeded to tell him what we were going to play.
I went first. I popped red one in my mouth and was delighted to taste that is was cherry. "Cherry!" I shouted. Then Liv got a grass flavored one, but claimed she liked it, so we let her pass, and play the next round. Then Derik got unlucky and got a puke flavored one.
Liv yelled, "You're out!" Derik grumbled, but didn't argue. After Derik, Icarus got a caramel flavored one. We kept playing for a while. Then eventually, we all got changed into our Hogwarts robes.
Once it started getting dark, we started seeing lights. Then we saw a giant, magnificent castle.
We had arrived at Hogwarts.
And there's Chapter three! I'm going to try and do updates every three or so days, and constructive criticism is very welcome. Thanks to my friend Bodie, (Who should get a Wattpad account) I was motivated to continue this story. Also, some fun facts about me since I'm bored
1. I love Fast and Furious and Formula One
2. I have a younger sibling
3. My cats are named after Greek gods
Fun fact about the story:
Derik, Icarus, and Olivia (And two others soon to come) are my friends as characters
