A light breeze flew by, lifting the strands of stray hair that rebelled out of my braid which was adorned with tiny daisy hairclips. Vera, Fox and I were having a stroll in the park. My two best friends seemed to be in a world of their own, although I could visibly see their irritation towards eachother. I was itching to ask but waited for one of them to tell me.
A flashback of yesterday swam into my mind: Aunt Gabby left before us and I saw Anne whisper yelling at Ren who had a total bored expression on his face. We took that as our cue to leave and bid them goodbye, my chance of thanking the dark haired boy disappearing. I had to thank him for what he said; it meant a lot to me. I know I wasn't supposed to feel anything towards him except anger but something inside me began questioning myself once I saw how confused he was after I explained to him the situation with Fox. Was Fox the one who was lying? But Mr. Hendrix had confirmed what Fox said. My mental dilemma of who to believe vanished when I saw a familiar figure sitting alone under a tree, his fingers strumming the strings of his guitar.
Ren didn't see me as I excused myself to go to the public restroom from Vera and Fox who didn't see the heterochromic boy. I then headed towards the direction of the restroom and hid behind a bush to avoid being seen. From behind the leaves I saw my friends arguing and Fox's eyes widening while Vera was fuming. Better let them sort that out. Now... where was I?
Slowly and soundlessly, I made my way behind the tree where Ren was. I heard him humming to the music that gyrated from his guitar, slowly turning into singing. I stared at him in awe; his voice was so beautiful and calming.
What am I doing? Stalker much? I was trying to avoid being seen by Fox who would blow up like a bomb if he saw me talking to Ren. But now it feels like I'm trying to kidnap the boy to offer him to my mafia boss in exchange for a fortune. Okay I read too much, books and wattpad.
An evil grin was smeared atop my face as I came up with another idea.
The dark haired boy stopped singing when I tip toed towards him and quickly grabbed his shoulders.
"GAAAAHHHHH!" he yelled, swinging his head to see me as I dropped to the ground laughing. His chest was rapidly rising and falling, his eyes dilated. Then he too started laughing, a few passersby gaping at us smilingly and some weirdly.
"You're evil. Pure evil," he chuckled and smiled at me. I wiped a tear that managed to form while I was going through the seven stages of hilarity. His gorgeous eyes followed me as I plopped down next to him on the grass, my hands wrapped around my knees.
