A song imagine in which the reader is dying and in their last few moments reminisces on their relationship with Liam...
Looking at it now, it all seems so simple
You met Liam in Kindergarten and ever since the two of you had been inseparable. Despite attending different high schools you always met up and when Liam transferred - it was the best thing to happen to you.
We were lying on your couch, I remember
The two of you had just finished playing video games and after being bitten Liam was nearly impossible to beat. It was always funny for you to think that the same bite that granted him gaming supremacy also helped him defeat the supernatural. You couldn't help but look over at him - things were so hectic nowadays that you forgot to appreciate the little things. Little things like whenever he talked about lacrosse his eyes light up and how whenever you've had a bad day he'd do exactly this. Play video games with you then watch a movie on the couch.
You took a polaroid of us, then discovered
The rest of the world was black and white but we were in screaming colour
You looked over at the corkboard with hundreds of post it notes, polaroids and random images from the internet and located your favourite one. It had been taken over the summer break by Mason and featured you and Liam jumping into the lake from a cliff rock. It'd moved since last time - further away from the eyeline from the couch but closer to the eyeline from the bed. You smiled to yourself and absentmindedly started playing with Liam's hair whilst he chose a movie.
And I remember thinking
Are we out of the woods yet?
Are we out of the woods yet?
Are we out of the woods yet?
Are we out of the woods?
Now, as you looked around at the abandoned warehouse, clutching the stab wound on your abdomen, you longed for those little moments. The moments that filled you with love and hope. Scott has said that life with the supernatural would be hard but you didn't expect this. Nothing made sense anymore and the supposed light at the end of the tunnel was no where to be found. Much like you wouldn't be found.
Are we in the clear yet?
Are we in the clear yet?
Are we in the clear yet?
In the clear, yet good
You wanted this to be over. The pain, the constant fights, sleepless nights. You wanted it gone. You wanted to enjoy life with your boyfriend, family and friends without being constantly afraid of what lurks in the shadows. You wanted to go back to the days when all you did was play video games and eat junk food. But as much as you wanted that, you knew you couldn't have it.
Looking at it now, last December
Christmas had been a tough time for you and Liam. Liam had been out a lot with the pack but would never tell you when and where they met so you wouldn't be put in danger. You weren't too happy but it meant you got to spend time with some other friends. However, when you found out that Liam had been taking Hayden to the pack meetings all hell in you arose. You loved Hayden, she was a great friend. But what you couldn't understand was why she could go and you couldn't.
We were built to fall apart, then fall back together
After that you'd told Liam you needed a break. It was tough for the both of you but you both needed it. You needed to clear your heads and get back in the game so that when the next threat came you'd be ready. Luckily you were and at the end of the fight the two of you couldn't help but fall for each other all over again.
Your necklace hanging from my neck
The night we couldn't quite forget
For your birthday Liam bought you a necklace with the pack symbol engraved on it. You'd saved the pack multiple times and they all agreed this was a long time coming. That night was your first time. After getting over the initial pain it was pretty much one of the most special moments in your life. You'd never been so vulnerable with someone before and neither had he.
Despite knowing these were your last moments - you couldn't help but smile. All the memories you and Liam had made together had made this life worth living. He had made your life worth living and for that, you'd be eternally grateful...
