"In conclusion," Natalia said. "Some products we use everyday cause algae to grow in lakes."
"Cutting off oxygen and disrupting the ecosystem." Daniel said, putting a dead fish into the mix that we made.
"So, what we've learned is that we must choose biodegradable products to protect our environment."
Natalia pulled the fish out, which was nothing more than bones.
"Excellent report." Mr Feeny said, causing Natalia and Daniel to smile. "Inspired visuals. Next team."
Cory and Shawn high fived as they stood up. They walked up to the chalkboard, and Shawn pulled down the map.
"How air pollution affects our everyday life." Cory said.
"Excellent topic."
Both boys yanked out their pointers, and Shawn hit the map first.
"Denver," Mr Feeny moved the pointer to where Denver actually was. "High talk to Majestic Rocky Mountains. Elevation 5,000 feet."
"Philadelphia," Mr Feeny once again moved the pointer. "Laying low in the Delaware Basin. 250 above sea level."
"Well researched."
Shawn smacked the board again, and even though he was on Denver beforehand, he still went back to the bottom part of the map. "Denver, clean crisp mountain air."
"Philadelphia," Cory was wrong as well. "Polluted industrial small."
"Mile High Stadium," Shawn said. "Home of the Colorado Rockies."
"Veterans Stadium, home of the Philadelphia Phillies."
"Oh, here we go." Mr Feeny rolled his eyes.
"The Rockies, a bogus expansion team, mind you, are averaging four more runs per game than anyone in the league, because of their clean air." Shawn explained.
"Our theory is that if Philadelphia would clean up its muggy air, the ball would slice through the atmosphere with a greater velocity."
"Therefore the Phillies would score more runs,"
"And win every home game." Cory finished. "The end."
They closed their pointers in unison.
"So, how'd you like our report?" Cory asked.
"I lost brain cells listening to the two of you," Natalia told them.
"Not like you had many to begin with." Shawn said.
Natty rolled her eyes.
"Stinks," Feeny answered Cory.
"Stinks," Cory repeated to Shawn. "How'd you like my half?"
"Relax Mr Matthews, I blame myself."
"You do? Cool!"
Shawn and Cory high fived again, before going back to their seats.
