Ep 4

Navier sat at her desk, staying on top of her work despite Heinrey's wishes. Honestly she just sat there expecting, no waiting to burst with a big happy smile and all. Slowly Navier tapped down her pen onto the desk. The windows smooth sunlight glazed the room, All of the books neatly stacked on the shelves as she got up and ran her hand gently across their leather spines. Her hand then stopped on one book, it was in the corner. Navier then slowly pulled out as her eyes lit up. The book was far rustier than the others, the hard cover had small scratches on it and the golden print was faded away. She then sat down on her desk again, Wiping some of the dust off of its cover.

It's dull brown cover was lifted as light yellow pages, the ends slightly curled from wear were revealed.

N: ...

She then sighs before a knock comes from the door.

N: Come in-

The door swings open as Naveir sits at her desk, scribbling with her pen on some documents. Her desk only with pilled up documents to her head.

Heinrey strolls in, his face gleaming with joy . He wore his hair slicked back, a crisp white suit with a flowing cape to the side. Small gold adornments were on the edges and small buttons.

H: My Queen ~ it's time to go now since I have a special surprise for you~

She begrudgingly gets up, setting down the pen and shutting the lid on the ink. She then pats the wrinkles out of her white skirt before standing elegantly.

N: have you finished all of your work for today?

Heinrey happy nods like a happy puppy.

N: well then I suppose we should go now.

She takes his hand as the walk out, an older maid then enters the room to shut the windows.

M: she always likes the windows open... well I suppose the fresh air is always nice-

She then glances over at a small leather book in a cabinet at Navier's desk. It's golden print reflected strongly from the light.

M: what's that?

She then walks over and lightly opens the draw and takes out the book. A small weak smile then spreads across her thin lips.

M: I should put this back now ~

She puts it back in the drawer, shutting it in a hurry to get to her other chores. The drawer bounces back a bit before opening half way. The maid then shuts the door to Naveirs office.

M: I see she keep it after all...

The corner of a photo slid out of the book. The 2 smiles of children were the main focus as the rest od the photo was still hidden. The lights dimmed just the photo...

And it's smiles.
