Chapter 6: Kidnapped

I woke up lying on a mattress in a dimly lit room that looked like a basement. My feet were shackled in chains hooked to a pole in the wall. I tried slipping my ankles through the buckles and failed. I was trying to wrap the chain a few times around the pole to break it until I heard someone unlocking the door. The same man that was in my house stepped inside the room. He was wearing the same mask and clothing. He had a plate of food. He sat it in front of me and turned to leave. "Hey! Why am I here? Who are you? What do you want?" I continue to shout questions at him. He stopped and turned to look at me. "You should eat." He left. I slid the plate of whatever was on it to the side.

It had been two weeks and I was still stuck in this basement. I still didn't know who my kidnappers were and I was eager to find out. I came up with a plan. The plan was, when the mysterious guy with the black mask came back into this room, once he's close enough I was going to snatch his mask off to reveal his face. So I waited. Hours went by and he finally unlocked the door and stepped into the room. He had a plate of food and kneeled down in front of me to sat it down. That's when I made my move. I grabbed him by his mask and ripped it off. When I took a look at his face I almost couldn't believe my eyes. "What the fuck!!" He screamed. He tried covering his face but I had already saw.

"MATEO!" I yelled in shock. He ran out of the room and closed the door forgetting to lock it behind him. In fact he had even left the keys to the chains that were shackled to my feet on the floor. I grabbed them and immediately started to unlock the chains. I managed to get them off and build up the courage to get my legs working. I stood up and wobbled to the door like a toddler taking their first steps. I opened it softly and slipped out into the hall way. It was quiet for a moment but then I heard faint talking coming from the room I was in yesterday. "Where the fuck is your mask Mateo?!?!" A women asked. "She fucking snatched it off of me and now she's found out and we are in so much trouble." I heard Mateo panicking like a child. "Calm down, as long as she's still in the basement locked away, she won't be getting out of here soon." I tiptoed down the hall to find a way out. All of sudden the women shouted. "You what?! Where are they? She's escaped now!" Fuck she found out about the keys. I looked for a hiding space but there was no where to really hide. I tiptoed some more and finally found a closet.

I could hear their footsteps getting closer. They stopped right by the closet and for a second I almost forgot how to breathe. "Where could she have gone Amber?" "How the fuck would I know? You're the one that left the damn keys in there with her. She probably already escaped thanks to you." Amber and Mateo were the ones that kidnapped me? But why though, why would they... of course. They did it to get back at me for the night at the bar. Amber was so jealous of me that she had to stoop. I took a few steps back in the closet and knocked something over which made a loud thud. Fuck. The door swung opened and there stood the both of them. "Well Well Well, look who it is." Amber smiled. "Grab her." They both grabbed me by my hair and started to drag me back to the basement. "Let me go! Please stop! Why are you doing this to me!?" I couldn't help but scream and cry. All of this commotion was going on when all of a sudden there was a loud bang.

They dropped me and ran to the foot of the stairs leading up to the first floor. "What the hell was that? Mateo questioned. More shots rang out and I saw Mateo drop to the floor first and then Amber. I was scared, but my body was frozen solid. It's like my muscles wouldn't let me move. That's when he stepped into the hall way. He stood there for a second and stared me down. "L-Leo?" He rushed over to me and knelt beside me. I started to cry hysterically into his arms. I was thanking God he sent him to save me. He held me and told me I was going to be fine. "I want to go home Leo." I told him choking on my tears. "I know and I'm going to take you." He carried me up the stairs and out of the house to his car. He held me in his lap the whole car ride and gave me kisses on the forehead. I was glad he had come for me.

Okay this chapter is really short but I'm hoping for the next chapter to be wayyy better than this one. This one was really rushed because I didn't have any ideas so it's all over the place. I really wouldn't blame you guys if you didn't like this chapter lol because it wasn't my fav either. I have been debating on publishing because it's one of my worst chapters.
