Merida POV:I changed my fate. Ye might know that already. Why am I telling ye stuff ye already know.
But what ye don't know is that my kingdom has been having troubles and problems. All the trees have been dying and wilting. Not only that, but the lakes and rivers and even waterfalls are all...polluted.
It happened so fast that it looks impossible. One day, beautiful. Second day, polluted.
My kingdom looks so... Ugly now.
"Merida!" My mom yells. "Where are you going!"
"Mom, I can't help but think that this kingdom is in trouble."
"Ofcourse it it, but where are you going dressed up in al that and with your luggage with you?"
"Mom, I'm going away for help." I say. She gives me a sad face.
"Mom! I have to go. It's the only way to help the kingdom."
"Yes, Merida, but what if something bad happens to you?"
"Nothing will mom. I'll miss you," I hug her. And she tells me to be back soon.
"I will. Don't worry." I hop on Angus and we head deep, into the Forrest.
Now, it may not surprise ye, but not much of my kingdom knows about the outside world. We are slightly cut off and ignored from the world, we aren't even on the map. So that's why it wasn't surprising when I find myself lost. I don't know where to go. Everywhere is just Forrest Forrest Forrest. Tree tree tree. Rock rock rock.
Ugh, I'm lost! Why don't I have a sense of direction like my mother! Or at least logic like the castles house helpers. Or scientific sentiment on how to get out of trouble like my brothers!
So I climb a tree and stake out the area. I see some smoke in a clearing so that must mean something good. Before long, I end up in a populated country. Yay!
People give me strange looks. I dunno why. They survey me from up to down. Why? The way they stare at me, they look at my bow and arrows... Oh. Maybe I don't look friendly with weapons. I stash my weapons in my bag. I stop at a house and ask for directions. But when I ask, they tell me the big city is the other direction. So I go in the other direction.
As I head there, the bigger the houses and buildings get, and the the people get plentier and plentier. Or more plenty.
They give me stranger looks. And I realize why. I'm wearing ancient princess dresses. Hunter dresses. Everyone I see so far wear weird outfits. Maybe they want me to wear weird outfits. I see a road and then a motorcycle zooms by in the opposite direction of where I'm heading. Whoa! Now that's a ride! I jump on Angus and gallop to the city. Wherever I look, there's a wonder. Cars, buildings, shops, strange food.
I go into a store and buy clothes since the amount of attention I'm getting from people is becoming more distracting.
So I just buy the first thing I see. They call it jogging pants and a plaid shirt. I keep my shoes, even though they look strange.
I don't know who I'm looking for, but I have a good feeling on what I'm looking for.
"Excuse me sir, but do ye know someone who knows about wilting plants and dirty rivers?"
"Try asking an environmentalist." He sighs. Boy, he's impatient, better ask someone else.
"Excuse me ma'am but where's can I find and environmentalist?"
