"Papa, can I go explore the town?" A now ten-year-old Hadleigh asked. Her eyes wide as she pleaded with her papa. Sesshomaru looked at his pup, the young girl had grown to be a powerful Yokai, powerful enough to be able to use her magic to hide her markings, now no one stared at her as she walked around the streets of any country. "Please papa!" She pleaded once more.
Sesshomaru smirked before bending down to her height. "You may go out, but if someone tries to hurt you, what do you do?"
"Poison claws!" She cheered with a bright smile. "Or light whip!" She continued as she jumped in her place, although she had grown Hadleigh was still shorter than the children her age, and she would remain that way for years to come. But she didn't mind one bit, no one ever suspected her of being powerful.
Sesshomaru nodded, allowing his pup to leave. With an excited squeal Hadleigh took her parasol, placed her sheer white gloves on, glamoured her face and was out the door in no time. Hadleigh skipped her way down to the town, she wanted to enjoy the nature around her, before her eleventh birthday would be upon them, meaning moving back into the crowded towns of London, or around that area. She wasn't too fond of the idea, but she was excited. Hadleigh though came to a stop, she looked to her right to see a raven-haired girl waving at her in excitement, she was transparent as well. Instantly Hadleigh knew this was a ghost, a young girl from her papa's past. Giggling she went over to the girl, as she motioned to a pink bicycle.
"How?" Hadleigh started but noticed the girl was gone. Shaking her head Hadleigh climbed onto the seat of the bicycle and rode down to the town, she preferred this more.
The town folk watched as the silver-haired beauty came riding into town, humming a delicate tune as she rode past. When she came to a bike rack she hopped off and placed it into the rack, locking it securely. Grabbing her parasol she skipped along the cobbled stone, continuing to hum as she went, Hadleigh was very content to just wander around, enjoy the quiet town. She soon found herself in a clothing store, looking through the many dresses, she hummed to herself trying to decide what dress would look better.
"If you want my opinion, I think you should go with the emerald green, it matches your eyes." A voice spoke from her right side.
Hadleigh hummed her agreement, she knew he had been standing there, but he wasn't giving her any bad vibe. "You think?" She questioned.
"Yes Tesoro, and you could pair the dress with some silver jewelry to go with your hair," the boy continued. Hadleigh nodded her head in agreement. Turning she faced the young boy who was much taller than herself, with high cheekbones and long, slanting eyes and he was dark-skinned, it made him even more attractive if she were being honest, but Hadleigh was waiting for her soulmate, who she hoped she would meet at Hogwarts.
"I'm Hadleigh Taisho heiress to the noble and prestigious house of Taisho." She introduced with a curtsey, keeping to her papa's family name, she couldn't care to use the Potter name, it only got her in more trouble than it was worth.
"I'm Blaise Zabini heir to the most ancient and noble house of Zabini." Blaise introduced bowing to Hadleigh. "Might I ask about your family?" He questioned having never heard of the Taisho family.
Hadleigh giggled. "My family name is from Japan, we come from a long line of witches and wizards, and Yokai." She explained happily. "I will be honest though, I was adopted into the family, though I am still a pureblood, as I found my mother who thought she was a muggle-born was actually kidnapped when she was a baby and given to muggles." She started to say. Blaise listened to her with rapid attention.
"Will you be attending Hogwarts, or going to school in Japan?" Blaise asked.
"I will be attending Hogwarts in honor of my parents, they met there, and I hope to meet my soulmate there as well, like they did." She said gently. "They loved each other dearly, and I hope the same."
Blaise smiled gently at the petit girl. "Well just know you have me on your side heiress Taisho," he said bowing to the young girl.
Hadleigh smiled. "And you have me as well heir Zabini, but please call me Hadleigh." She said with a curtsey.
For the remainder of the day, the two children spent the rest of the day together, Blaise helping Hadleigh buy new clothes he knew would look beautiful on her, his mother being an influence in his life with beauty tips. And he would never allow a friend to dress horribly. They laughed loudly as they talked about their childhoods, learning things about the other, like how Hadleigh loved to sword fight with her papa, or run through the woods.
Hadleigh learned about Blaise's mother being his main influence in his life, and about the many fathers he has had, he didn't mind as they always brought something new into his life, like a new life lesson. She learnt that he was partial to the muggle-born, which she asked for more information on. "I think if they are going to join us, they should at least learn about how culture, not force their own culture and beliefs on us, our culture our religion is older then anything, and they want us to give it up." He grunted, annoyance in his eyes.
Hadleigh hummed. "I see what you mean. Does Hogwarts not offer a class to teach the muggle-born?"
"No." Blaise answered flatly.
"Well, that is most certainly not fair, my old school in Japan taught all Muggle-born about our religion." She said shaking her head. "Hogwarts most certainly is not the best school."
"You're telling me." Blaise said rolling his eyes, he took note of the time as he sighed. "I have to go now Tesoro," he said sadly, he had such a wonderful time with the girl, she was a ray of sunshine.
"I do too, or papa will be worried, I'll write to you okay, and when papa and I come to Diagon Alley to collect my school supplies maybe you could help me?" She questioned with a smile.
"We can do it together." Blaise stated with a nod of his head, the two said their quick goodbyes before separating. A bond of friendship was grown in a day, two different people were to become the best of friends.
