"Yo!" I turn my head to look over my shoulder and see mick walking over with excitement in his tone. I'm currently sitting in my mum's home, in balcony of my bedroom, my dad isn't home and as I said, he's on his trip for two weeks. I'd rather spend time here than being scared at home at night.
"She says, she will marry me!" He stands ahead of me, I laugh covering my eyes. He says, he loves a girl in his class, when I was his age I'd think how do people get in TV. This generation is growing faster.
"That's great, Mick!" I can't stop with my laughing as I again think about what he just said.
"She says she wants her bridesmaids to wear yellow," my stomach aches from laughing. "That's so good!" He laughs among me, he doesn't knows what I'm laughing at.
"Let's go, we need to buy a ring for her!" I widen my eyes as he grabs my arm. "Mick, no, this is not how you get engaged, first your parents and her parents will meet each other, and you two will engage in their sight." He rolls his eyes and moves closer to my ear, cupping his hand to his mouth as someone's gonna hear, and whispers. "Mom says, she doesn't likes her, that's why I can't convince her," I furrow my brows. "Why doesn't mom likes her?" I whisper back. "Because she's shorter than me." I nod being in her team.
"She's correct then, you shouldn't go for her then." I again whisper he shakes his head with annoyed expression.
"I love her! I don't care! Let's buy ring!" I shake my head and grunt as he's not going to give up. It's okay, just a ring, no big deal, already we won't get any small size, so it's nothing wrong with going on walk right now.
"You know what kind of ring she likes?" I ask, grabbing on my purse and hang strip on shoulder, he shakes his head on my question. We walk down stairs and see my mom cutting potato for dinner. "Where?" She asks as we reach door. "Walk." Mick says opening the door I giggle silently and rush out with him.
I grip onto Mick's hand as we walk on street, this time feels good when you walk. In this crowd almost when you wanna be alone. There's nothing better than crowd of strangers sometimes.
And I knew it he would drag me in shop to buy him something to eat. That's why I carried my purse. "Chips!" He grips the edge of the counter as he says to man on other side of counter. "Which one?" He asks pointing behind himself, Mick points on a pack of chips the man pulls it out for him. And walk out of shop.
"Hey—" the voice is unfamiliar, a Male voice. I turn my head and see hazel eyes, brunette hairs, his shoulders are broad, he's tall. I reach till his shoulder, he's wearing black denim and blue and white jeans. "—I'm sorry to bother you, but can you tell me where this address is, I'm actually new here." I hesitate by the thought of address being asked. But dont worry he's not in van or any vehicle.
I see the address written on phone. "We're walking in same way," I wave my hand for him to follow.
"Mom said, don't talk with strangers!" Mick says gripping my hand so I won't walk ahead. I wouldn't have told him to come along, but he's going in same direction as ours.
"He's not a stranger, Mick," I don't want to be a bad inspiration for him, if I'll tell he's a stranger and walk among him, Mick would probably think it's okay. So I lie.
"Yes, I'm Winston, her friend." Winston smiles and offers Mick his hand for hand shake.
"Yes, Winston is my friend." I repeat the name, because I'm easy to forget peoples name.
"Okay, well we are going to but ring for my girlfriend," Winston nods not shocked and chuckles. "You got a girlfriend, huh?"
"Love at first sight." I whisper to Winston, I'm walking in between them.
