Chapter 10

Before I even knew it, it was now the end of the month. It was Thursday and I had to leave on Sunday. Of course Joe and I had been dancing around the subject for the past two weeks.
Jasper and Mila were supposed to be coming in tonight. We wrap filming tomorrow and I'm so ready finish. I have been learning so much just being on set everyday. They were focusing me on being a production assistant.
I finally finished out the day and headed to Heathrow airport to pick up Jasper and Mila.
I waited at the gate that they were arriving at. I waited until I saw bouncy black hair that I recognized in an instant.
"Mila!" I yelled as she found me in the crowd. She ran up to me with her arms open. We crashed into each other with a big hug. Jasper followed directly behind her.
"Don't I get a hug?" He asked while holding his arms open.
"Of course." I ushered for him to join the hug I had with Mila.
"So where is June?" Mila asked. Jasper's face tightened when Mila mentioned June. It was strange.
"She was up since 4 am going over her scene so she is back at the apartment sleeping." I responded.
"So do we get to meet this Joe fellow?" Jasper asked.
"Yah we're all having dinner together at our place tomorrow." I gave them the plan.
I told Mila and Jasper that they could sight see tomorrow while June and I wrapped up on set and then we would have dinner at our apartment. I invited Casper and Oli to come as well but they both had something else to do. I was going to cook for everyone including a vegetarian option for Mila of course.
We arrived back to our apartment.
We just figured Mila could sleep in my bed and Jasper could sleep in June's.
"June were back." I called out as I opened the door.
Juniper opened the door from her room and ran to hug Jasper. She kissed him really quick. No one else saw it but I did. Jasper winced. Like he didn't want to kiss her. Something was up but I decided not meddle for the time being. If he cheated on Juniper I swear I'll kick his ass.
We all sat talking for the rest of the night.
I woke up the next day ready for my last day on set. It was only a couple of background shots but they wanted me to be there anyway. Juniper finished on set yesterday so she went to take Mila and Jasper sight seeing.
After the long day was finished we all cheered that the filming was complete.
The production assistant that I had been training under, Darren, came up to me.
"You're going to be a great PA." He said as he patted me on the back.
"Thank you so much." After I said goodbye and thanked everyone I grabbed my purse and headed back to cook dinner.
I made a vegetarian lasagna for everyone. 6 arrived and Mila, Jasper, and Juniper finally got back from sight seeing.
"Mmm smells good." Mila said as she took a big whiff of the air.
"Thank you."
"So what time will Joe be here?" June asked.
"He is coming at 6:30. Everyone be nice. And no questions about our relationship." I said while I waved the knife in their direction that I had just been using to cut the lasagna.
"What relationship?." Jasper said redundantly.
"Oh shut up." I turned back around to finish cutting.
At 6:30 there was a buzz indicating someone was at the complex.
I buzzed back "hello?" I asked through the intercom.
"Hey it's me." I heard Joe through the speaker.
I pressed the button that let him in the building. I turned around to the rest of my group.
"Ok everyone be cool." I gave them dagger eyes.
Moments later there was a knock at the door. I opened it to see Joe standing there. He was wearing a black shirt and tight blue jeans that showed off his skinny legs that I adored.
He hugged me and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.
"You look beautiful." As he said that I looked down at my black skater skirt and white crop top as if I forgot was I was wearing for a moment.
"Thank you. Come meet my friends." I took his hand and led him into the room where everyone was standing staring at us coming in the door.
"Everyone this is Joe. Joe this is everyone." I went to introduce them one by one. They practically lined up to meet him.
I started with Mila.
"Joe this is Mila." I said and they shook hands. I did the same for Juniper and Jasper.
"Nice to meet you all." Joe said when he was done shaking hands.
We all sat down to dinner when it was finally ready. To my luck, everyone got along splendidly. Thankfully my friends have never been one to isolate themselves. They were all asking Joe a bunch of questions. I think they were all curious what it was like to be an Internet celebrity, which I kind of thought was funny because after this movie came out, Juniper would be a celebrity as well.
By the time the clock struck 10 everyone was pretty tired. I kissed Joe goodbye and he went home. Despite my friends being here we were going to spend tomorrow night alone. We really had to have a big talk.
