"-....-OJI!" She yells but quiets down her voice as she realizes she does not know what she is yelling for.
"Oji...? What does that mean..." she pulls her hand back into her lap, looking at them. She looks around her dark room and out the window where the sun is just starting to come over the horizon.
----
Rays of oranges, pinks, yellow, purple and blue paint the sky with a pastel like pallet, if it were painted. The light sneakily makes it into the room, crawling onto the bed. They lightly shine on her skin while she sits on her bed, looking out to Tokyo City, and all the lights starting to dim from the sun shining above.
"Time to get up, I guess," She sighs out as she pulls the blanket off and walks into the kitchen.
The small hallway was dark while walking through it because the blinds and curtains in the living room were closed. Though the house was almost pitch black, the girl knew the layout and the way around her house.
When she makes it to the kitchen she passes the table that has a small note on it.
We are on a business trip for a few days. Get to school and take care of your self, Milayna.
~Mom & Dad
Milayna puts the note back onto the empty table. "They left again...?" Milayna talks aloud to herself as she gets a chair to reach up in the cabinets for a cup After getting her cup, she puts her chair back by the table, and fills it with tap water.
School starts at eight in the morning today. Milayna looks to the clock on the stove. "5:40" is what it reads.
"Schools only a few blocks away... I can visit those kids on my way too..." Milayna says to herself as she walks to her bedroom to get ready.
Her readable face became expressionless as she walked to her room. She gets her elementary school uniform and puts it on. she brushes her hair and goes to the bathroom to brush her teeth as well.
Milayna grabs her school bag and walks towards the door to put her shoes on.
"I'm off," She says to no one in particular while grabbing the house key from a small table next to the front entrance.
The door shuts with a small thud and a click as Milayna locks the door with her key. She places the key inside her uniform pocket as she turns to leave her small apartment.
She walks down the hallway that is already outside and down the stairs the ground on her way to school.
She breathes in the cold air that blows in the early morning as she passes the busy road, walking to the less busy streets.
The little girl walks up to a building that's about two or three stories tall. With a small metal fence that went along the trees surrounding the building.
Milayna gives a big smile as she remembers her first encounter with the people who lived there. Shaking her head, she trots up to the front door, knocking.
An older woman answered the door, "Oh my! If it isn't little Milayna! You're back at the Hyakuya Orphanage again? Don't you have school?"
The woman gave Milayna a gentle smile before offering her inside.
