Multiple voices crowd Milayna's head. People calling for help afraid of something coming for them. Screams echoing through her mind. The many voices combine together sounding like high pitch ringing.
Milayna chokes on her spit at the calls for help without being able to do anything. Her ear drums pounding as if they are about to explode.
Silent sobs without any tears is the only thing left in the dark room.
----
Dragging her feet quietly, Milayna walks out of the dark room, where few clothes and blankets are piled in the corner of the room, and into the well lit hallway.
Milayna's feet are almost completely silent as she tracks down the empty hall. Each bracelet clinking against the floor as she takes each step.
The bright hallway shines against her paled skin. The dark room she was kept in, as well as no sun exposure because of the vampires, caused her well colored skin to go pale like she hasn't been healthy for the past couple years.
Surprisingly they even gave her food to eat almost every day. She does not even know how long she has been in that room. And, as far as Milayna knows, Mika has not gone to see her at all.
The normally quiet background noise is as loud as a harsh whisper. The kids that are down in the homes provided or walking down bridges sound like they are in the next room over. The tapping and clicking of writing or technology. The sound of light footsteps from the vampires that are roaming the building. The humming of electricity. Small little details around the underground kingdom are things Milayna notices. Including how the vampires breathe compared to the children's. The stronger vampires with higher rankings have a different aura. How they carry themselves is different from a normal vampire.
A huge wave of power shoots towards Milayna's back, and she freezes. The overwhelming power of all the high ranking vampires in one area give Milayna the chills. Their presence sends out waves of energy, and it leaks through the cracks in the walls and door ways in many different colors.
'Ah... That's scary,' Milayna tenses. The waves of aura layer the floor in a fog surrounding the entrance. The dim green light fills the hallway, illuminating it lightly. A certain presence catches Milayna's attention. It's rageful, upset, but most of all it is filled with sorrow and regret. As well as comfortable and familiar.
'Mika...?' Milayna takes in a deep breath before turning around and walking away and far away from the gathering of the vampires. The opposite direction where a lesser aura was emitting. The amount of vampires that were in that room could only bring bad things.
Continuing on her way, Milayna's steps become lighter and she follows the path she made so many years ago with her only friends. The huge white room with the giant gate door. Walking up the stairs slowly the bright light luminates the stairs. As she makes her way to the top to look over the empty room, the shiny marble floor sparkles with cleanness. No traces of the horror scene ever there.
The lifeless bodies of the kids and Akane were all gone as if it was never there. The blood, and the vampires. All the lower ranked vampires seemed to be in that room with the higher ranked vampires as well.
