A Night of Surprises
Paislee Quint

Deciding to just wear what I wore today for this "date". Taking off my blazer, fixing my makeup in a more clubby way, and spraying on some better perfume. I made my hair a little more wild before having the car take me to the restaurant.

Entering the restaurant around 7:45, I didn't know where to go. I stood there, analyzing what I should do. My name being called caused me to turn around and look for where it was coming from.

"Ms. Paislee Quint?" a tall man with a nice stylish suit on. The man was very handsome but I refused to date any man.

"Yes, that is me." I responded.

"Your date awaits you. Please follow me." he said, turning on his heels and walking away.

Following behind the tall man, I was faced with a table in a private corner. The tables cloth was blood red, white candles perched inside shiny gold candle holders, and a woman was sitting at the table.

I turned around, walking away towards the door. This was a joke. I wouldn't date a man, but I definitely wouldn't date a woman. I already have enough problems with mommy issues and trust issues, but being gay would put the icing on the cake. I don't even want to think about what that'd do to my business.

"Hey, Ms. Paislee Quint! Wait up." the voice said, my God her voice was perfect. Mellow and calming but high pitched enough to be identified as a girl but not too high to be annoying.

Why am I even talking about voices? A hand grabbed my shoulder and I instantly stopped pushing the hand away. She smiled at me, her teeth perfect, her hair perfect, and her clothes perfect. She looked so hot. She wore a plain black suit, her hair was cut low into a curly Mohawk, and her grey eyes were bright. I faintly recognized her as one of the owners of the restaurant we were currently eating at.

"Beautiful girl, where are you running too?" she asked, her teeth shining as she smiled and contrasted against her caramel skin.

"I, um, I have to go." I sputtered, calling for a car.

"Oh, of course, you're homophobic. You know, that's not a real phobia. You're just a dick." she said, letting go of my arm finally and turning away.

I felt the need to explain myself. I do not know why but I just had to tell her I wasn't homophobic or a dick.

"I'm not homophobic. My best friends are both apart of the LGBT community, I just am not gay and am definitely not ready to be in a relationship, in general. I came to tell you I wasn't interested." I said.

She smirked, one of the sexiest facial expressions I ever seen on anyone in life. I stopped, looking into her face and my eyes casted downward.

"Let's make a deal." she said.

"What is that?" I said.

"Let me change your mind about being gay and relationships. Give me one month. If I do, date me. If I don't, I'll leave you alone." she said.

I grabbed her hand in a handshake. She smiled, nodding her head. "I'll win this, Paislee. I'll see you tomorrow honey."

Why did I agree to this? Dammit. I was truly dumb.

I headed home, to find Teagan standing at my door with Fabian in tow. I went up the stairs and she instantly latched onto me before I could unlock the door.

"How was the date?" she said, jumping up and down.

I pushed her off. Unlocking the door, I went inside and they followed.
