"What is wrong with you?!".

"What in the name of Arceus were you trying to accomplish?!".

"Is this what your idea of 'help' is?!".

"Ooooh, you 'didn't mean to' - yeah, that sure is gonna fix everything, isn't it?!".

"You really wanna help? Then go. Go somewhere, anywhere, as long as it is far away from here, and NEVER COME BACK!".

The Stufful kept strolling through the infinite rows of cobblestone houses and huts, with countless faces giving way to her, but still staring.

They were always staring.

But only from afar.

Every time her gaze wandered towards a window, she would see a group of Pokémon sitting around a table. Eating. Drinking. Talking. Shouting bitter words, laughing, weeping, crying in joy.

Being together.

She tried to approach it - the mass of darkness with many eyes and mouths, all of them talking - but the closer she got, the further away it retreated.

"Freak!".

"Stay away!".

"No, no, no!", she shouted, desperately trying to get a hold of the ever-slippering mass of black. "Don't run away! I will do everything, anything you want! Please! I need you!".

But no matter how fast she ran, the faces in the dark were still slithering away from her, sinking into the surrounding forest, until there was nothing left. Just silence. She slowly turned around, her gaze meeting the empty houses, the voided huts, the unmoving, stale air.

She pursed her lips. It didn't matter. Nothing mattered, after all. Yes, yes, they could all go away and die in a pit for all she cared! She didn't need 'friends'!

Not at all.

...not even a bit....

"...bunch of pricks...", she said as she casually entered one of the empty houses. "Bunch of... stupid, stupid idiots...".

It was cold now. The little candles illuminating the dining room were nothing more than smothered stubs of molten wax. She slowly, clunkily dragged herself to... to... ah, there was a room with beds; nothing too fancy, just a bunch of stray heaps and covers laying on the floor.

With a clunky pace, the Stufful walked into the bedroom - which she assumed belonged to Pokémon of her own age - and snatched a red blanket, before crawling out the window and into the forest.

She heard noises from afar. Shouts and cheers of happiness, sighs of relief - because That Thing wasn't there any more - because she wasn't there anymore.

Well, the joke was on them! She had already gotten what she needed! She stopped in front of a tree with an 'X' mark on its bark, and sat under it, amidst other amenities and tinkers; a brick, a spinning top, a wooden stick and so, so, SO many other things! The Stufful closed her eyes as she wrapped herself in the blanket; yeah, she didn't need any of them, she... she was happy like this....

...she was happy.

She was HAPPY!

SHE WAS HAPPY!

SHE WAS HAPPY!

"I AM HAPPY!".

Ursa jolted awake, screaming while trying to hold on to the red blanket. What she ended up grabbing, however, was a worn out piece of leather. She stared at the coarse piece of cloth, then glanced at her side, where Espurr was kneeling down right next to her, the campfire's blaze shining against her purple eyes.
