(Opening Scene)
Dean, Sam and Rose are all sitting around the table in the library. No noise other than the sound of rustling papers, and the ticking of a clock, counting away the minutes. Papers strewn all over the table. A few piles, that were previously towering on the table, have toppled to the floor. A few of the papers with locations that have been searched by the three of them, are tacked to a cork board on the other side of the room. Most have been thrown away due to research showing most were places where the local teens in those areas liked to hang out, or if the place was beyond the point of having any type of occupation.
It's been three weeks since they searched the barn and found the files. Three weeks of going threw and organizing the papers. Leaving and searching a couple of the locations. They are all exhausted, ready to crash at any second. Almost to the point of throwing their hands up and waving the white flag, but Rose will never give up and she knew Dean and Sam would not stop either. That's just the kind of hunters they all were. So they continued on. They'll push and push themselves until they figure out where the vamps are.
Dean slams the papers he's holding in his hands down on the table. He exhales obnoxiously loud and scrubs his face and runs his hands up threw his hair.
"Do you have to do that every five minutes? If you're tired or bored go to bed or go be annoying somewhere else." says Rose, becoming agitated by Deans childish outbursts.
Dean groans and scrubs his face again and looks right at Rose. "We've been working on this for weeks. Most places were a waste of our time and research and the others were just useless. We've searched five of the locations that seemed like they were a possibility and all we found were rotting furniture and several old animal bones. All showing signs that no one has been to those locations in many years, and you want me to behave myself and not be annoyed and restless with this turn out."
Rose sits back in her seat and crosses her arms, looking back and forth from Dean and the cork board. Taking in what Dean had said. She leans over and grabs the map and inspects the state that the paper is in. Old and tattered. Lettering barley legible, its a wonder how they deciphered what was on it. She looks back up to Dean, piecing something together in her head.
"You might actually have a point. You said the places we've searched showed evidence that no ones been there for a while. What if these places use to be where they had lived but couldn't stay there anymore." she continues to stare at the map. She gazes back towards Dean. "What if they had these places listed a long time ago and never got rid of them? Look at this map," she says as she stands and reaches across the table, grabbing a newer less worn down piece of paper. She settles back into her seat and faces it towards Dean. "its not that old, maybe a few years or so. This could be a map of the newer areas that they are staying in. Only way to know is to search the places on this map and find out. 'Wonder why we didn't start with these locations first. Would have saved us a lot of time.'
Sam stands off to the side and nodding his head in acknowledgment and starts to ruffle threw all the papers and pile them all together to start going threw them to match them up to the marked spots on the map. Dean stands up quickly in frustration, flinging everything in front of him off of the table in one swipe of his arm. Papers fly all over the place. Hitting the floor and smacking the wall across the room. "So what, you mean to tell me the answer was staring us right in the face and we kept looking all around it and wasting our time?" Deans face shows so much aggravation and stress. He whirls himself around his now knocked over chair and grabs his jacket. "I need to get out of here before I explode."
"Would seem a little late for that." mumbles Rose as Dean marches out of the library and up the spiral stairs. He slams the door to the bunker on his way out and Rose rolls her eyes and looks over at Sam. He seems amused at her comment but also annoyed by Deans tantrum and then just abandoning them to do the job alone.
