What are we? | Danielle & Haerin

'' its okay dani unnie '' I chuckled softly. Danielle snuggled  into the crook of my shoulder trying to get comfortable, the  warmth  of her surrounding made me still. I want to stay like this forever I thought.

Then it hit me. My thoughts were getting to me again, and the one that hurted the most was knowing Danielle would never like her back. now that my feelings grew over time it was hard to stay silent about them. controlling them were even more harder I dont think I can keep it in me longer. 

'' im hungrrryyyyy '' Minji yelled running downstairs, she paused, as she rubbed her eyes. '' did I interrupt something? '' she smirked. '' n-no '' Danielle nervously pushed me, '' ouch '' I groaned while I was on the floor.  '' I'm sorry '' Danielle chuckled nervously.

'' really?  '' I stood up while groaning, '' uhm, anyways is there any food? '' Minji asked, '' its 12 unnie '' Danielle said. '' oh... '' she chuckled. '' I can make you something to eat '' Hyein mumbled.

'' sure '' Minji let out a faint smile, '' I'll help '' I said.  Hyein walked into the kitchen preparing some ingredients while I decided to just wait in the living room. Danielle was busy doing her own thing while Minji was just waiting for Hyein. The silence was a little awkward but it was nice. '' its oddly peaceful'' I said. '' yeah '' Minji chuckled.

'' don't jinx stuff haerin '' Hanni rolled her eyes, '' yeah, i've learned my lesson '' I joked. as I slowly turned my attention to Danielle, with her pink, fluffy pajamas. She was half asleep with her phone still in her hand. my body moved on its own, I moved my hand to support her head  as it was about to hit the couch. to make sure she wouldn't hurt herself.

'' be careful next time '' I chuckled quietly. '' smooothh haerin '' hyein whispered with a smirk on her face. I hissed at her I didn't feel like arguing with her since It was 1 in the morning and I would probably wake up the neighbors '' just get back to feeding your girlfriend '' I joked. '' sure'' hyein chuckled. '' shut up hyein '' Minji said annoyed.

'' im guessing i will forever be single '' Hanni joked, '' probably not who wouldn't fall in love with you unnie '' Hyein said. '' yeah hyein's right especially with your vibrato skills'' I teased.
'' and your personality '' Minji joked. '' yah! stop teasing me  '' Hanni yelled.

'' sorry unnie its just funny '' Hyein said, '' hyein your gonna burn the food '' I pointed to the oven. '' oh shoot! thanks for reminding me '' Hyein rushed over to the kitchen. '' aish, trying to burn down the villa aren't you? '' Minji joked.

'' nope, I-i swear! '' Hyein panicked. I chuckled while seeing the two having a good time I really missed this. everything was a mess when our schedules were full, we never got to see each other as much as we do now. we would always be exhausted due to long practice lessons and never had time for each other.

'' so much stress '' I mumbled before I slowly drifted off into sleep. I couldn't help but let my eyes shutdown slowly as my body just gave up, I fell asleep. 

'' haerin passed out '' Hanni joked, '' I mean its been a long day '' Minji said quietly. '' yeah for sure '' Hyein chuckled. '' I'll go bring the two blankets '' Hanni said as she stood up. Minji hummed. ''  we should all sleep in the living room tonight '' Hyein asked, '' I dont mind '' Minji said softly, '' I'll set up the mattress '' 

One of our couches had a pull out mattress you could use if there were any guest over. In this case we decided we should use it for our selves, since Haerin and Danielle already fell asleep. And Hanni would probably sleep on the ground since Hanni can sleep on anything.

'' I got the blankets '' Hanni said while coming down the stairs. '' perfect, I'll go wash up '' Minji said. '' same '' Hyein replied. '' yeah, okay I'll just wait in my room '' Hanni answered as she stood up. '' meet you guys in the living room '' hyein said as she made her way to her room.

Hyein and Minji both went there own ways to wash up while Hanni was quietly unfolding the blankets for the two sleeping. Since the two loudest members were gone there was a bit of a silence that Hanni felt awkward about.

'' they better hurry up '' Hanni said, she gently covered Haerin with the blanket as she gave the younger a stare. '' aish, just tell her u like her already '' Hanni whispered. Little did she know dani was awake listening to everything she said. Her heart started to beat fast.

'' haerin likes me..? '' she thought to herself. Danielle was still confused if the feelings she felt towards haerin were more than just friends. She knows the butterflies in her stomach arent just things you feel normally. She knows that her heart feels much more.

'' i think i like haerin '' she kept repeating to herself. '' I like haerin.. '' It clicked. Danielle knew that night something new sparked at the bottom of her heart. But she knew there would be consequences, all she could do was hope for the best as she fell back asleep.

a few moments later hyein and minji came back.

'' took you long enough '' Hanni said annoyed. '' sorry unnie '' hyein answered while drying her hair. '' are you sure you guys didn't make out or something? '' Hanni teased with a smirk on her face. '' YAH! HANNI '' Minji yelled. '' OK OK SORRY '' Hanni replied with fear in her eyes.

Hyein yawned, '' can we go to sleep now '' she said. '' yeah its super late '' Hanni answered with a hint of tierdness in her face. Minji stood up to close the lights as she tucked herself in bed. The 3 slowly drifted off to sleep after a late night.

I slowly woke up to the smell of breakfast being made, before I knew it was the morning. I opened my eyes to see the other members making breakfast while having fun, that was rare.

'' good morning haerin unnie! '' Hyein said with excitement in her voice, '' hey '' I answered in my raspy voice. '' were making ramyeon for breakfast '' Danielle said. I felt a smile slowly creep under my face. I loved hearing Danielle's voice especially in the morning there was just something about it that would make me want to listen to it all day, damn im falling hard for her.

 '' who feels like drinking tonight? '' Hanni asked, '' Im down '' Minji answered, '' same '' me and danielle said in unison. I slowly lead out a smile while stealing a glance at her. I heard her chuckle quietly. 

'' cute '' I mumbled. Minji cleared her throat, '' okay we'll buy soju later tonight, but we should go to the beach today '' Minji said. '' yeah the temperature is perfect '' danielle replied. '' im down '' I said, '' me too! '' Hyein answered. '' whatever you guys want '' Hanni chuckled.

'' Then the beach it is! '' Hyein exclaimed, '' now help us make breakfast '' Minji said, '' sure '' I slowly made my way to the kitchen. '' you can help danielle if you like '' Hanni smirked. '' okay.. ''
I chuckled awkwardly. 

I noticed Danielle was having trouble with cutting the onions. not to mention her side view looks so damn gorgeous. I decided to help her since she was really struggling with the onions I stood behind her as I moved my arms to let my hands guide her. '' cut them like this dani '' I said while smiling like an idiot.

'' don't let your heart explode. '' Danielle tried to calm herself, I know i like haerin but I should be able to keep my cool. But I couldn't, everything she does takes my breathe away. How she holds my hand, walks to practice with me, even her visuals will be the death of me. I never knew how much I liked her. maybe even love her.

I let out a smile. '' ahem '' Minji fakely coughed.''  sorry what happend? '' I answered. '' just continue cutting the onions.. '' Hanni joked. '' haerin you made unnie blush! '' Hyein pointed to danielle. I chuckled '' really '' I answered with a smirk on my face. '' shut up hyein ah! '' Danielle yelled softly.

Hyein stayed quiet knowing she cant win her against her unnie. '' the ramyeon is almost done '' Hanni said. '' really '' I asked, '' yeah wanna try it? '' Hanni asked. '' sure '' I chuckled. '' here '' I opened my mouth as she gave me a spoonful. '' delicious! '' I exclaimed, '' haha you looked like a hamster '' Hanni teased.

'' my hamster psh '' Danielle said out loud. all of us were shocked '' sorry can you repeat that '' Minji teased. '' I said my hamster. '' Danielle said with an annoyed expression. '' oooo theres a jelly dani '' Hanni joked. 

I let out a faint smile, danielle would never like me I kept on repeating to myself. were just friends in her eyes nothing more right?.  I thought to myself, '' why does she keep giving me false hope '' I sighed.

'' you okay haerin? '' Hanni asked, '' yeah im fine '' I let out a laugh. '' whatever you say '' Hanni answered. '' okay guys the foods done '' Hyein said trying to brighten the mood. '' I'll get the plates '' Minji said while preparing the table. '' I'll help unnie '' Danielle replied.

I decided to just wait while sitting near the table. I probably wouldn't be of much use anyways.
'' what time do you guys wanna go to the beach? '' I asked. '' after were done eating is fine '' Hanni replied. '' sounds great '' Danielle answered.

'' enjoy your food '' Hyein said while bringing us our plates. '' thank you our precious maknae '' Minji teased. '' our beloved maknae '' Hanni said annoyingly. '' just eat your food '' Hyein rolled her eyes.

I chuckled. All of us continued eating our food while having conversations over the table. talking about stuff like, practice, work , schedules and weekend plans. Some regular things we would do with our daily lives, we only have a few days left at the villa so we thought why not make it the best.

After all this will probably be our last vacation, once we get back we have to work harder to prepare for our debut and train harder for evaluations. Things are gonna get really busy we wont even have time for each other I thought.

'' you guys done? '' Minji asked, '' yup '' all 4 of us said in unison, I chuckled. '' put your plates in the sink '' Hanni said while heading to the sink. I stood up while following hanni '' give me your plate dani '' I chuckled. '' s-sure '' she stuttered. '' thanks '' I smiled. 

'' Minji unnie can u grab my plate too '' Hyein teased, '' no '' she answered. '' aww '' Hyein joked.
gaining a laugh from all 4 of us. '' you'll never get enough of these two '' Hanni chuckled. Hanni's right Minji and Hyein are the reason why our group isn't so quiet and dead. The dorm is normally so loud due to these two arguing and joking around. For the first time I actually feel grateful for having these two idiots.

'' Hanni unnie can you pass me a Banana milk? '' I asked, '' sure '' she threw me the bottle. '' thanks '' I chuckled. '' lets get ready for the beach now '' Minji said as she headed to her room. '' same '' Hyein and Hanni said in unison. '' okay '' I chuckled.

It was just me and Danielle left alone, '' your not gonna get ready? '' I asked. '' no I wont be going in the water much today '' she chuckled. '' oh alright '' I answered. '' what about you? '' she gave me an eye smile. '' same thing with me '' I answered. 

'' sounds good then '' she laughed, I let out a smile while slowly sipping my Banana Milk. '' you do look like a hamster  there '' she chuckled. '' yup '' I let out a faint laugh. '' my hamster. '' she  pinched my cheeks.

I felt my cheeks getting warm, what on earth are you doing to me dani. my heart started to beat faster '' my hamster. '' that sentence kept repeating in my head. I slowly moved my hand holding tightly on to hers never wanting to let go.

'' yup, your hamster '' I said quietly. '' haerin I- '' dani spoke, '' were back! '' Hyein interrupted while running down the hallway.

im so sorry for the long wait guys :( I've been really busy now that schools started. I promise I'll start uploading more. Also the next few chapters might be a bit more spicy :)
